Went to see Alkaline Trio here on 3/17/10. The show itself was good, and the beer was priced well, with only one real problem – the beer is served in glass bottles rather than plastic cups. Now, normally I would prefer a bottle to a cup (tastes better, stays cold longer, etc.), but at a rock show, especially one with an active pit, people tend to be dumb and throw things. And, sure enough, within 3 minutes of the main act going onstage, I got pegged in the face by a flying glass bottle. Luckily, neither the bottle nor my face broke, but I wasn’t the only one hit and this seems like it could be a huge liability issue – not to mention the fact that the floor was covered in broken glass after the show ended. I was under the impression that there were regulations about this sort of thing, but I’m from Virginia and maybe North Carolina doesn’t have the same rules when it comes to proper serving vessels at concert venues – still, I think it would be a good idea for the management to loo

Wow. I’m speechless. Sober and soaking in every moment of both bands in their entirity. One recomendation for the Tentacles: knock down the sound of the drums so the flute and electric guitar can be heard in their entirity. Wife of flute/singer man: Nice work, Sweetheart. Your smiling face when you exited the tour bus before your on-stage entrace warmed my soul as I was chilling outside with an American Cigarette.Pros + Two Fabulous BandsCons – no smoking

in writing this please note i’ve been to places from pittsburg to as far south as south carolina to kentucky ohio and many more. Every now and then you get a few good bands to come charlotte’s way. then when you do get to a show at tremont u better watch your ass in the pit because of the HUGE columns in the middle of the floor. those damn things are hazardous…Its WAY better at amos southend!

If you’re like me and believe that seeing a show not only depends on the band, but the venue; then you have to check out the Visulite Theatre. This small, yet comfortable venue offers a place to see your favorite bands without having to sacrifice intimacy. If the old stage, musty couches, and overall ambience don’t lure you in, then just talk to the bartenders. Not only does the Visulite boast as an excellent venue to see a show, but its also an excellent venue to belly up to the bar and have a drink. I love this place and highly recommend any music lover to see a band here. It’s a good time!Pros + Vintage, Sound, SizeCons – Size, Parking
