Where is the Best Live Music Venue in Baltimore, Maryland?

I’ve been to this place with a group and also just with one other person. I have to say that this place is not for people who aren’t in a group. The main attraction is the piano bar and the pianist themselves. They play very loud songs and if you are not a hot girl or tip 20 dollars your request will not be played. We actually tip 10 and waited and waited and after 2 hours the song was never played. Oh well. So, they are absolutely right, this place is good for large birthday parties and bachelorette parties and perhaps a graduation from college party. As for couples and anniversaries, not so much. The seating is extremely limited. Although there is a cool thing, you can pay a “performance” fee and perform in front of the crow (piano, singing, guitar). Still, for me, it just an OK place and its cool to visit once every three months or so. They have a cover charge also and thats a big turn off and one of the reason it gets a low score.

This is one of the best NFL…. Sorry Ravens bars in the area! They have plenty of screens to see the games, with good game time specials and well priced beer and food. Just don’t go in wearing black and gold.Pros + TV screens, price, atmosphere

Indie, Alternative and just bare bone rockin place. Live music on the 2nd floor. Killer DJ’s on the first. My favorite place to party in Baltimore. Since 1972 it’ a friggin institution! Pros + Always a rockin’ partyCons – Always a hung over tomorrow

I have only been twice but I would have to say the DJ (on the hip-hop/rock side) was horrible! I have been to quite a few clubs and bars in Baltimore and the surrounding areas and this was definitely the worst DJ I have ever heard. The drinks were about average price. I am not a country fan but if you are into county music this is the place to go. The beach in the back is great. I would go back to have a few drinks but defiantly not to dance.
