Where is the Best Late-Night Dining in San Diego, California?
I don’t know about this place…. it took them well over 40 minutes to hand over a BBQ chicken pizza, which costs $17 and was far from great. True, I ate it, but it was lke they put NO effort into making it taste good it at all– all chewy and very basic sauce on there. But, who knows, maybe I just got the one kind of pizza that is not all that. I think the prices should def. be brought down a peg or two for the quality.
My uncle and I recently had some beers and appetizers here on a Friday night. They happened to be screening the Aussie rules football championships live throughout the place, so it was pretty loud and crowded. Their decor is modern and upscale, their music is contemporary and loud, and their staff is young, Australian and attractive. They have at least a half-dozen Australian beers on tap — try the Cooper’s and the Boag’s! Their appetizers were great, too — try the Wagyu sliders and the sampler plate! My main concern with this place was the fact that they only had one very overworked bartender at our bar — she kept getting inundated with an endless stream of printouts coming from their computer system, and as a result we had to wait an eternity for our drinks. Suggestion to the management: hire more staff!Pros + Hip decor, attrractive young staffCons – Crowded, loud and expensive
After seeing this place reviewed on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” my wife and I thought we’d go check this place out. I’m a huge breakfast fan, and the idea of a place that serves breakfast 24/7 is always appealing to me. Parking was kind of strange, as they had a small lot, with most cars parked on the street, though it didn’t seem to be difficult to find a spot. We got in and were seated in about 10 minutes. They had immediate seating at the counter available, but we opted to wait for a table. Looking over the menu, they seemed to have a pretty eclectic mix of food. The sandwiches and some of the seafood looked good, but I was craving breakfast. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs, and my wife ordered the crab cakes benedict. When we received our food (after a bit of a wait), we were not that impressed. Certainly not bad food, but then again nothing to write home about. The portions were a decent size, but for the price, I probably could have gone some where closer
