What an outstanding restaurant. I know this sounds cliche, but just like my Grandmother used to make. The pasta’s are delicious and the help outstanding. Great appetizers and nice wine selection. Would recommend this for any occasion. If it were also opened at lunch it would be perfect.

This has been one of my favorite happy hour spots for a few years, but I have noticed that the quality of the tapas has suffered: Some examples: the pan con tomate is now being served with canned tomatoes, which is extremely evident the moment you take a bite. Previously it seemed like they just rubbed some fresh tomato on the bread, which is the correct way to do it. The manchego cheese in the jamon y queso platter is of a noticeably lesser quality than before. The red ceviche was made with shrimp and octopus that was either previously frozen or has been in a fridge for long enough for it to be way too cold. The filling in the croquetas is dry, and the breading seems oilier. The chorizo is of lesser quality than before, as it is less flavorful and actually reminds me of something Jimmy Dean might sell. I used to come here for both great wine *and* great tapas, but now the wine is the main draw for me (for example, bottles of wine $50 and under are 50% off every Tuesday, and they have

My husband and I prefer this location. We normally eat at the bar. The dinning area is for older people. We ate there as a family but our parents thought it made them felt old. Older people tend to cut in the bar too. Even though they see you waiting for the next available table, they still walk pass you for a table. We liked the previous waitress better. She was there for awhile. She always remembered us and even saved us the best table in the bar. We brought our friends there several times. They loved the food, but felt the atmosphere was too old for them. We feel the same way, but the service is a notch better than the other location.

It was a busy Saturday night and we decided to go for a romantic dinner. I guess that was too tall an order. We’ve been to Colloso a handful of times and overall have had pretty good experiences. This night, we were seated within earshot of the bar. It did seem a little bit chaotic & confused as they were obviously trying out a new waitress who served us waters and had to be asked for menus and then forgot about us altogether. Over the course of our time there, we were waited on by 3 different people. We were eventually served our drinks by a 2nd waitress who never followed up. We had to ask who was waiting on us in order to order a 2nd round- and then we were served by the dishwasher. I know this, as we could hear the bartender/ manager call for him from the back of the house as they were super slammed. This was honestly the best part of the evening. Caleb was attentive and knowledgable of the menu & followed up frequently in addition to bussing the other tables. I’m not sure why he

My friend and I were in search of a good place for Happy Hour and decided to try the Empire Room. The place itself is cozy, cute, and somewhat romantic. We went during a time when business was slow, so the service was fairly fast. I ordered a lemon drop and felt it tasted a little watered down. My friend ordered the Butter Pecan which I thought was much better. We ordered artichoke dip and quesadillas. I thought the quesadillas were very tasty, however the artichoke dip was just so-so. We had a good time, the atmosphere was great, but it wasn’t the greatest food/drink I’ve ever had (at least as far as Happy Hour goes). Maybe I just ordered the wrong things.Pros + atmosphere, fast serviceCons – food was average, lemondrop was so-so
