This is a great ‘brasserie’ like place, though its italian themed, in lower east side right around THOR and the rest of the hotspots here. Living and working in Chelsea i get lazy to travel down here but this was worth it. Atmosphere is cozy, feels a bit Pastis, with wood tables close together etc. Never had dinner there but lunch was great, i am told paninis are specialty and we tried a couple. Butternut squash was great too, arugula salad a bit dry to be honest needed more dressing. The breakfast panini with eggs and ham was very boring, i would not recommend picking from the Brunch menu, go to the regular panini list. And it was quite annoying to have so much italian in the menu. I was with two friends – one is French the other is a Spaniard, and we had to ask the waiter so many times ‘what does this mean’? My friend, who is vegetarian, ordred something with ham as a result. All in all a great experience and i would go back. Mimosa by the way was giant, and it looked quite

I’ll echo most sentiments here – nice, thick burger that comes out quickly – mine was medium well although I asked for medium rare…could have used more salt, cheap buns, and it’s a little smelly (like urinal/stale beer smell). The place looks/is more like a bar than a burger joint. Good burger but not going out of my way again- better burgers in order are: (1) Chelsea Grill (bigger more seasoned burger, cooked to perfection with better fries and better atmosphere) (2) Island Burgers – smaller but thicker -again, cooked to perfection and 1,000 topping suggestions – no fries though.(3) Le Parker Meridian – secret hotel burger – lines and not a great value (thin burger).(4) Burger place in Madison Sq Park – lines are ridiculous – thin but flavorful pattyI haven’t tried Paul’s in East Village but it’s next on my list.Pros + Good but not great burgerCons – Mild seasoning (salt), lack of consistency, cheap buns, smelly place

Coffe Shop used to be my spot!!!! My fiancee and I went there on several occasions and will probably contunue to go. The food is great but my problem is with the lounge area. I have been down there on many occasions and it h as a great ambience if you want to chill out with some friends and have some drinks, but beware of the waitresses down there, they are fierce!! My girlfriends and I went to Coffee Shop after a very stressful dinner, just to kick back and relax. A couple of them do not drink which we thought would be OK. We quickly learned otherwise. As we arrived in the lounge at about 930 on a Saturday (very early for any real lounge activity) we were abruptly greeted by a blond waitress who immediately stopped us from sitting down in an area that was reserved for parties of 8, we were a party of 5. She seated us elsewhere and gave us our menus. I was ready to have another drink, the other ladies were interested in dessert. She came back over to get our orders (I ordered a glas

I have to say that this restaurant really does have one of the best atmospheres. It’s located on a roofdeck, with beautiful views of the manhattan skyline, and it can be very romantic. It has the potential to be an amazing restaurant, except for the actual food. It had almost no taste, and the dishes were just boring. Even still, I still feel compelled to return every once in a while because of the atmosphere. I hope they spice up the food a bit, and change the menu around a bit.Pros + Great ambianceCons – Bland, tasteless food

Better than average diner for family breakfast. Don’t know about other meals, but breakfasts are big and good. Kid-friendly and good for adu…
