Where is the Best Late-Night Dining in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
So I used to eat here on a weekly basis….every Sunday night I would usually get the Sweet and Sour Chicken which is great or as the drunk girl sitting next to me one night said to the host ” It’s the whitest chicken I’ve ever seen.” I think they have good basics and their Iron Hot and Spicey Chicken is great, but be prepared to get a stomachache once and a while. I would say 1 out 4 meals here result in a stomach ache, but the food is so good, espeically in the late hours, that you just can’t help yourself. So dine in or take out, but beware of the evil tasty treats…..so good. Pros + Food, Open Late, TeaCons – Stomach Aches
My husband & I have been loyal to Solera (we had the luck of making dinner reservations for New Year’s, so we did not get stuck out in the cold or miss out on our money’s worth of drinks). My only reservation with this restaurant is the dessert menu. Being the chocolate person that I am, it’s extremely disappointing to see that 99% of it does not include chocolate (the exception being the dessert sampler, which includes a tiny chocolate cookie ice cream sandwich). I know the owners read these postings, so please add some chocolate! Thanks!Pros + Excellent Food, Service, & AtmosphereCons – The Most Important Part – Dessert!
I went here last year with a party of 8. The wait wasn’t too long and the staff was nice throughout the visit. Seating was limited since we were there in the winter and the patio was not open. They have a great selection of drinks. A couple of the girls in our party ordered the big volcano (I think that was the name) drink topped off with a flame burning in the middle. Beer was enough for me. Pizza was great, much better than your average chain pizza variety. Overall dinner was a great experience and I loved the ambiance of this place.
