Where is the Best Late-Night Dining in Los Angeles, California?

Magnolia is an excellent restaurant on Sunset with down to earth prices for this nornally expensive area, The late closing also is a great benefit for those of us who do not want to join an expensive club just to eat a hamburger. The food is excellent with a feel…

Not wanting to drive all the way to the Strip to satisfy our munchies, we opted to go here after a night of bar hopping and dancing. Compared to other delis in LA (Nate n Al’s, Jerry’s, Canter’s), the prices were very reasonable–I got waffles, eggs and fruit all for only like $6-7. The ol’ school Hollywood atmosphere was nice and the late hours and central location to 3rd St. are great. The food was just ok–I rather go to Toi for late night dining on 11th and Wilshire. Im willing to give Izzy’s another chance, but honestly, their breakfast was no better than Denny’s.Pros + late night hours, atmosphere, nice servers for such late dining (and rudeCons – breakfast foods are just ok

Since 67 for me; the little shack on the corner hummed like a top…yes people around the block. They had to add one in the back part but everyone preferred to wait in line and visit under the stars. The huge piece of tomato (where did they find such huge ones?); the secret sloppy joe ingredient, the size of the burger and the price (you could also have a tamale as a change of pace). The speed was what fascinated me, second only to the taste. The”showcase” guy (there were two) was a blur as he reached up and then down, made a few more movements and there you were-the line moved. He had pride and never-got- tired energy. You felt energized. What a thing of beauty! God bless you buddy because I can’t remember your name but I do remember you also had time for a few pleasantries? Thanks. I never have found such a place in my travels, anywhere. Funny, but the only place that gave it a run for its money was The Original Pantry, if its still around; and it was just a few miles away downtown.

My friends ordered from this place for take-out one night, and I made the mistake of not ordering anything for myself! The food was so delicious I ended up mooching off of everyone else’s plates. I finally had the chance to try it again tonight, and the food is even better than I remember. The menu is huge, including a great selection for vegetarians. There was so much to choose from so I just played it safe and ordered vegetable masala, samosas, and garlic naan. Everything was amazing, down to the sauces and rice served on the side. The owner gave me my order and he was very friendly. The restaurant is deceptively nice inside considering it’s location (inside a strip mall). I can’t wait to go back to try some of the other menu items. Highly recommended!Pros + Food, Service, PricesCons – Parking a bit tight in the strip mall

I’ve def hit up my fair share of diners at 1am after an exciting night. This is now one of my favs in LA. I went with one of my roomies after an art show and we were a little skeptical of our choice when we first walked in. We became downright frightened when we saw “pickled tongue” on the menu. But, we are strong women, not willing to give in to pickled tongue fears, so we went ahead and took a seat. Our server was friendly and patient (the menu is freakin ginormous). I went with a grilled cheese with bacon and fries. My roomie stuck with pickles and water because everything looked so good to her she was afraid of eating herself into a coma, and there’s no way I was going to roll her out of that place and back to the car. The food was delicious and we were both satisfied with our experience. We were particularly amused with the ceiling tiles having just come from an art show. We were there before last call at the bars, so we didn’t have a wait before we were seated and it didn’t t
