Where is the Best Late-Night Dining in Dallas, Texas?
I love this place! The staff is friendly, they’re affordable (for sushi), and everything they Roll is tasty. Their variety of overstuffed maki rolls (my weakness!) keeps me coming back — Blake Roll is probably my favorite, closely followed by Lauren Roll. I also recommend their Rolls with fruit in them,
It may look a little shabby at first glance, but Shuck N Jive is well worth a stop. Great drink specials, prime viewing for sports (huge project screen can be seen from any seat in the place), and fantastic New Orleans-inspired food. Each location has a different menu, but all of it is good. I recommend the crab and artichoke dip or the spicy cheese fries for appetizers, and any of the pastas or poboys for an entree. The crowd can be a little rough sometimes, so I would not recommend bringing the little ones. Most patrons however are really nice regulars – where everybody knows everybody. Nice, attentive staff without any extra “flair”.Pros + Nice staff, great food, good sports viewingCons – The place needs a face-lift
We had a sudden emergency right before our food came to the table and had to leave pretty much immediatelyin no part because of the restaurant. They were nice and boxed up our food (marking each entree on the boxes) and quickly helped get on our way. I was saddened to have to leave because I found Cafe San Miguel a welcome addition to the area, with the valet parking, fun colors on the walls and nice dark lounge-ish bar area. I like interior Mexican cuisine and enjoyed the waiters enthusiasm in describing the difference. He was proud of it and had a right to be. The food was great and I plan to return so I can get the full presentation. Also, the pomegranate margaritas are very good.
I have been to the Plano Tavern several times and have never had a bad meal. Try the spinach artichoke dip before your meal. The chicken pasta and meatloaf are both out of this world. The steaks and prime rib are perfectly done. I have always gotten good service here too. The only negative about the Plano Tavern is that unless you pace your server, your food might arrive too fast. I don’t order my main course until the appetizer is on the table. The servers are very good about slowing the food down if you ask them though.Pros + Great food, reasonable priceCons – Food arrives too fast
