Where is the Best Late-Night Dining in Boston, Massachusetts?
I think the food at Lucca was very good, esp. the rigatoni with wild boar. The selection in the menu was a bit small, esp. the apetizers. The price is a little bit expensive, the cost of seared beef tenderoin was $36, I think I have had similar food with comparable quality elsewhere but at a cheaper price. The pasta dishes are all expensive, $25++. The waiter was new and a bit confused which was a minus point. And, there is no valet parking. Overall, I think the food is good, but I’m that “wowed” to pay for the food.Pros + Good foodCons – Small menu, pricing, no valet parking
This bar is your perfect neighborhood bar but not in any ordinary kind of way…The combination of many good things comes together nicely every time…The beer list is extensive and international, the food is surprisingly high qualty and the bartenders truly know their stuff when it comes to beers and making good recommendations, even depending on your mood. You just feel comfortable when you walk in, there’s a lively atmosphere with lots on the walls and tvs placed high and discretely showing the main game of the day without overkill…The bar has 2 nicely-spread-out levels so it’s rarely hard to find a seat (except let’s face it on a peak Sat. pm, then you just get a table!). You can go with 2 friends or 10, or even alone to chill after along day at work, and you’ll always walk out happier, or at least, a little more relaxed to face the craziness of the world outside!
Food I went to Pinocchios last night for a quick dinner. The pizza was good and fast. Not too much cheese but cooked just right. I would say that its above average pizza better than Papa Johns and Dominos but definitely not the best Ive had.Prices Pizza was 2 2.25slice whole pizzas seemed average priced too. Salads and some simple pasta dishes are on the menu as well. for 5 and up.Location Its right in Harvard Square near Bombay Club Petes and the Curious George store. When you walk in you place your order and can sit with your food if youre lucky to find a chair. The place itself is really small and we couldnt get a place to sit. However theres plenty of benches outside on the lawn and makes a great place to eat on a nice day or evening.
Consistently one of my favorite restaurants/bars in Boston. Hats off to the staff for making this place time and time again great. I never hesitate to bring an out of town guest or come to Franklin for a special meal. The menu is not huge and there are no desserts, however almost everything that comes of the kitchen is done right. My only complaint is that you have to come early. They dont take reservations and if you expect to be seated right away, opt for an early or late dinner. Keep up the good work, Franklin!Pros + Food, Location, ConsistencyCons – Size (small place), wait
