Spain meets Asia in this progressive fusion experience. From 20 varieties of Asian tapas to saki-enhanced martinis, Roppongi provides the chance to sample world-wide flavors and textures, with unique and tasty presentations. Diners can make a meal of just the tappas, and just deciding among the seafood, meat, and veggie options can fill the evening. The service is top-notch, with the waitstaff eager to provide detailed descriptions and recommendations for all of the menu options. Roppongi is a unique dining experience, with exciting food, a comfortable Japanese atmosphere, and attentive service. A must do for either a group outing or a romantic rendezvous.

This La Jolla coffee shop has been serving tasty traditional breakfast and Lunches since the middle sixties. I have been going there since 1973. Harry s Mom no longer mans the cash register as she did for decades and his kids have taken over running the place but the feeling is still the same. The uniformed waitresses serve up good solid breakfasts Eggs, Omelets, pancakes and waffles, biscuits…..oatmeal if you want it. Breakfast Burritos and Lox and bagels is about as foo foo as it gets. I go cause it feels like home and it never disappoints. Frequented by long time La Jolla locals and an occasional celebrity its comfy booths await. They also serve lunch closing about 2 in the afternoon but to tell you the truth in 36 years I have never tried it. Grab the papers on the way in and enjoy.Pros + Comfy, Tasty FamiliarCons – If your looking for something exotic this aint it. Just simple good food,

I’ve been vacationing in LaJ for 10 years, and the Cottage is quite simply the BEST place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Terrific food (famous for its breakfasts – great place for lunch – and in summer, open for yummy dinners). Friendly helpful waitstaff. And, the loveliest surroundings – a beautiful little patio. The Cottage is perfect for a quiet meal for 2, and is also “kid friendly” with crayons and the like. Hint: if you go on weekend, either arrive early or prepare for quite a wait – its popular – but well worth it.

It is an understatement to say that I love George’s Upstairs, and it is for one reason only: Their turkey, broccoli, black bean soup. It is literally the best thing I have ever consumed in my life, and on more than one ocassion I have skipped the entree entirely and just gotten more soup. I think I’va had the pork chop and something else before as a main, but I can’t even remember them because my soup is clouding my memory. If you’re visiting La Jolla, the views are absolutely incredible, and what better way to enjoy them than with a hot bowl of the world’s best soup?Pros + The soup, obviously. The views, the other food is good too!Cons – Parking, there’s usually a wait, and the downstairs portion is a whole different place: classier and way pricier. Make sure you know where you’re supposed to be going!
