Seriously, y’all, get down here, ASAP, especially for weekend brunch, before everyone else does and you can no longer just saunter in and grab a table with no waiting. The service is beyond excellent (Matthew, you are a god amongst mice-men!), the food is beyond stellar (give their specials a shot; you won’t be disappointed!), and there is simply no cooler place in West Seattle (or even most of Seattle proper…).Oh, and the drinks! Did I mention the drinks yet? No?!? What was I thinking? Best Bloody Mary I have ever had (and I was not even hung over when I had it), with the most amazing hazelnut pancakes with hazelnut butter and hazelnut-espresso syrup…heavenly! (Sorry kids, the pancakes were a special, but if you’re really lucky maybe they’ll be featured again when you’re there–and you *are* going to be there, right??)Nighttime is also the right time at Skylark. Dinner is great (fries from the upper, cloudy reaches of paradise) and reasonably priced & the drinks, again, are

I go to this bar quite often, once sometimes twice a week. One particular bartender sort of takes away from the experience…. she’s good looking, a great singer (she partakes in karaoke) but customer service is definitely not her forte. When a customer ordered 4 kamikazes, she replied, “No” and asked him if he was really ordering that from her (seriously). I have heard of the rockstar bartender persona and have worked with more than a few people who fit the bill. But the fact is, she is a bartender. When someone orders a drink from the bar, she should make it, no questions asked, no matter how difficult or annoying it is. Pros + Great food, karaoke every night.Cons – Bitchy bartender.

Love the food here, hate the service! I live for the potstickers & sometimes come here even on my own or get take-out because I love the food sooo much. However trying to get the bartenders attention is almost impossible & it almost always takes at least 30-40 minutes to get my food.Karaoke is super fun here too! They have some nice Karaoke hosts & it’s definitely got a big following. Not to keen on their “american breakfast” though. I think you have to be hung over to enjoy it… Pros + the food & 7 days a week karaokeCons – takes forever to get your food

One of the few bars in this town that serves Bekerovka (not sure if I spelled it right), so I keep coming back on that alone. However, The Twighlight has super good food as well. The pulled pork, the burgers (haven’t ventured to the peanut butter bacon, but it has super cult status) the fried chicken for your incredible bar food -but what people DON’T realize is that The Twighlight has one of the best cobb salads in town!Weekend brunch is perfect for those with a huge need to stay away from the sun and eat mammoth amounts to cure their hangover, just be aware that you’ll be waiting a while before the food comes (the bloody mary is served instantly though). One of my favorite spots in Seattle.Pros + stiff drinks, good booze selection, incredible foodCons – waiting for brunch with a headache

Greetings. I must say that the ambiance and food was superb. I had intentionally gone to Amore to see about the well praised Ryan Hazy singing vegas showtunes and when i showed up. i was greeted politely at the door and then informed that Ryan Hazy is no longer there. I was saddened when i heard this. But as they say in france C’est LaVie. I was greeted with kindess and served promptly. The wait staff sure do know their stuff. I hope that they will bring him back. Because I want to get in touch with Ryan about a potential business proposition. We want him back in New York. He is a great actor. Thank you amore for a wonderful dinner and fine wine.Pros + greeting at the door, fast service, knowledgeable staffCons – Ryan Hazy isnt there any more.
