Where is the Best Karaoke in Boston, Massachusetts?
Great place to go but you’ve to get there really early because the bar doens’t have many chairs and tables. The waitresses are always friendly even during the rush hours but to me The Avenue it’s just a cool place for college students to drink couple beers before they go somewhere else.Pros + Cheap draftCons – No seats, crowded
Dyke night is a great time…it really is the cheers for lesbians. Cheap cover, low priced beer and theres nothing like dancing on a jammed packed floor filled with women having fun. I like having different deejays and its great to be welcomed by smiling women each week– without the attitude. Every show ive seen there has been top notch and its great to see women in the business who care about lesbian causes and do so much for the community.Pros + Neighborhood bar feelCons – Poor ventilation
Sure its crowded, and yes it is tough to move sometimes, but honestly, crowded bars come with the territory in Boston on a Friday or Saturday night. Show me bar that is not crowded during the weekend, and I will show you a place that noone cares about, and probably will not be in business for long. The cover ($3 downstairs, higher than that upstairs), is worth it, and has been known to be waived when the lines outside get too long. The best suggestion to avoid waiting in long lines is to show up before 11PM. Of Course the Scorpion Bowls are highly reccomended, good domestic beer selection as well. The Teriakey sticks can’t be beat for value ($1 for Chicken 2$ for beef), as well as quality. Great Crab Rangoon as well. Tell ’em Matt sent youPros + Staff, Drinks, Scorpion Bowl
