Where is the Best Karaoke in Atlanta, Georgia?

I hadn’t been to East Atlanta in a few years but what changes! I was expecting it to be a dangerous slum neighborhood but was shocked to see that it was actually quite nice! There’s even a bunch of new retailers a couple of blocks down from the bar like Bestbuy and Lowes. Anyway that should clear up any hesitations about the neighborhood it’s in. And boy did I hesitate for that reason.I felt like it was a trendy crowd. Lots of straight’uns, mixed about 45 Les/45 Gay/10 str.A bit loud on Karaoke night but not so loud that you can’t have a conversation. The place was jam packed. I counted only about 100 people and there was no room to walk or even stand. For that reason I was a bit uncomfortable however I would return in the future. Parking behind the place was easy and free.Pros + Nice upscale crowd, free parking, easy to get toCons – No room to stand/walk

The old Biltmore LIVES. The old Biltmore Hotel’s basement now opens to an astutely designed club with chic cocktails and see-and-be-seen opportunities. Several blocks from overblown Crescent Avenue, this demure lounge places modern furniture against a concrete backdrop. The mood is set with oversized blown-glass light fixtures that bathe the crowd in a flattering glow. The bar is long, white and glows various shades of red, blue and yellow throughout the evening. A glass wall behind the bar reveals a two-level lounge where DJs play down-tempo tunes on weekend nights. Lots of events and specials. Lots of fun….

You won’t find better chopped BBQ in Atlanta in my opinion: the meat is fresh, you get a choice of 6 sauces, and the portions are generous. The hush puppies are little but extremely good. I always get an extra side of the puppies! The burgers are pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Unless you just have to have a burger, stick with ribs or chopped BBQ. The service is excellent: they don’t pester you, but they don’t ignore you either. The draft is always great.Pros + food, atmosphere, outdoor eating avail.Cons – not open for lunch

Parked on a huge corner lot along North Highland is a huge multi-leveled bar paved with small white tile, a vast wooden and brass bar, and plenty of tables. On the weekends, Dark Horse is on nearly everyone’s bar hopping itinerary. During peak bar hours, it is quite likely you’ll be sandwiched between a gussied-up ex co-ed and a polo shirt-and-croakies-wearing ex-frat star. That’s not to say that hipsters and rockers don’t enjoy this joint too, but chances are they are on their way downstairs to the delightfully-dirty 10 high music club (sadly turning perpetually into metal karaoke hall). Bartenders and barbacks can be short or rude at times – though one must understand the pressure of pleasing thousands of relentless orders from typically besotted guests. Expect ahead of time to swill your cocktails from a dixie cup, be bumped into, and wait a while for a beverage and you’ll be enjoying the pickup game in no timePros + If you are down to mingle, its nearly unbeatableCons –

This is a different place compared to the Korean-owned facilities. First of all, it’s Japanese owned not Korean owned. Also, they use a machine that’s different from the Korean owned places. For people…
