I met Gypsy Chic at the Saturday Market and fell in love with an amazing long coral colored bohemian dress. I wanted it in some of the other colors as well, but didn’t have the funds at the time. A week later (pay day) I went into the shop on Mississippi to buy the same dress in 2 other colors. I fell in love with the entire shop and I plan on purchasing a lot more from Gypsy Chic.I have been complimented by men and woman of different ages EVERY time I wear any of my dresses. On top of which they are ohhh so comfy to wear!!! As if it couldn’t get any better, the sweet adorable owner just makes you feel like she is your own personal designer and she has an awesome upbeat comforting personality!!! I recommend this boutique to anyone who wants to look and feel beautiful and amazing and unique at the same time!!!Pros + High Quality, Uniquely Beautiful, Amazing Customer ServiceCons – None

I went into this boutique with not much time and a need to find something cute for a surprise date this past Friday night. The girl behind the counter was *super* helpful and really helped me pick out some cute things for my body type. I wore her suggestion and the guy was blown away :)Not just that, but I picked up 3 super cute tops, a gorgeous bangle and 5-6 ‘bandeau tops” (basically awesome little colored bandeaus to use in place of camis as layer pieces with NO bulk) all for under $300… a screaming deal.I would shop here again any day. I’ve been in once or twice before and have never left empty handed, but this was such a great shopping experience that I just had to write a review!Pros + great customer service, awesome selection of clothes and jewellry, inexpensiveCons – pearl district? you know it.. parking.

Locally made, original gifts that you can’t find anywhere else. I’ve bought and loved: Handmade copper earrings for under $20, a pink onesie (for my baby niece) with a robot on it, MadLibs book about everything that can go wrong when you travel. They have lots of gag gifts for under $10, as well as really nice stuff for $15-50. Presents of Mind has a great way of doing business. They treat their employees well, so they keep really good staff. They take excellent care of their customers, earning loyalty and referrals. They are active in the community and give back in many ways. I was president of the Hawthorne Boulevard Business Association (www.thinkhawthorne) for several years, and Presents of Mind has always supported our efforts to make Hawthorne better – with their time, money, and events.Pros + Support local businesses and artists!Cons – Plan to park 1-2 blocks away. But parking is free.

My wife and I have been to Gilt about a half dozen times in the past year (we were shopping for a wedding ring) and each time we were warmly received. During our first visit, we let the salesperson know that we were in the market for a wedding ring. She was eager to help and quick to offer neat little details about each of the rings we were interested in. It took us a few visits to find a ring (after our 2nd visit, we noticed a vast change in the selection, so we thought that it might be a good idea to show up often). The salespeople at Gilt began to recognize us as regular customers but they never showed any sign of frustration with our relentless browsing. After 4 or 5 visits we found the one ring that my wife couldn’t live without, a gold 1940’s sapphire and diamond engagement ring (she uses it as her wedding band). We later went back to buy a gift for the woman who was performing our wedding ceremony. Since we weren?t sure what to buy, the salesperson began to ask questions abo
