Where is the Best Italian Food in Cleveland, Ohio?
Gavi’s is a fairly large restaurant with an open kitchen, very high ceilings, and the brick walls create the perfect lighting. Although their menu is primarly meat versus pasta, their eggplant (appetizer) is the best. It is so filling, I get it soley as a dish. Alongside bread, they also bring out an assorted vegetable tray to each table, nice touch. They also have great wine. The owner and staff are very nice people too. Check their hrs. before going as they tend to close between lunch and dinner and are closed on Sundays.
My family has been dining at Santo’s for years and we could not imagine going anywhere else for great Italian food. There is always an owner in the restaurant and the staff rarely changes. The employees must love it as much as I do! The hostesses are always pleasant and the waitresses are knowledgeable and courteous. Great authentic food with high quality ingredients- try the Chicken Chasmondo, Veal Santo or pizza! The owners have also taken a lot of pride in their wine list- far below other restaurant prices for fabulous wine!The prices have gone up in recent years due to rises in food cost, but it’s well worth it and they haven’t sacrificed QUALITY to put good meals out on the table.Try it once, you’ll soon be a regular!Pros + awesome sauces, beautiful new party roomCons – parking
