I’ve been here a couple of times (always with a reservation) and it has always been good. I only ever order the spaghetti parmesean because that is what they are known for and it is great.I also buy their spaghetti sauce in the store so I can have it at home, too!

It was after the grammer school boys concert at Kleinhans Music Hall. My dad took us out for dinner to this little restaurant on Niagara. That was May 1960. I have returned many, many times with friends, my own children, and now my grandchildren. Santisiero’s is one of those special places that has changed little over the years. Good food, always busy, and affordable! If you haven’t been, you ought to go.Pros + Affordable, Great sauce, Pasta Fagole

I remember several outstanding NY style pizza places here in the 1960s – gone now. When I returned after living in New York and New Jersey I was stunned by just how bad the local pizza was. Thick, doughy, chewy like catsup on thick bread. But then I found Gino & Joes. One of only 2 real NY Style pizzerias in the city (the other is Zetti’s) if you like thin crust, great sauce, large slice pizza this is the place to go! Just wish they had more stores and were open on weekends and nights.Pros + Inexpensive, Great PizzaCons – Closed nights

I have been to DeFlippo’s many times and found it to be one of the better Italian restaurants and family owned at that. I can’t seem to depart from their fantastic lasagna. The tossed salad that accompanies the meal is so so and a wee anemic (what is with the dill pickle slice and pepperoni)? The homemade Italian bread is good and service is excellent. Ambience of the inner dining area is wonderful… especially the cozy little section under the grapevine arbour. So far, DeFlippo’s is a very good memory to be enjoyed again and again.Pros + Good parking, Nice neighborhoodCons – Reduce smoking
