Where is the Best Italian Food in Buffalo, New York?
We went for our wedding anniversary…someone had gotten us a gift certificate. Granted with the dinner and hotel package, you had to choose off of a seperate menu. I got the prime rib, I remember the carrots being very good, the rib was also good. I ordered it med rare…..bad choice…I got soo sick, I cant even tell you what my husband ordered. While I was sick in our hotel bathroom, my husband was in the jacuzzi alone, with the bottle of champagne. I second the motion that the resturant was very dark, we waited about 30 minutes for a seat, with reservations to boot. The waitress caught us off color, when as it seems…we didnt leave her a big enough tip. Then gentlemen in the resturant were very nice. However, my biggest criticism of the entire experience, we got looks from people because my husband is black. Which was in no way appreciated. The breakfast the next morning @ the hotel was ok too. Would I go again? Yeah sure, with another gift certificate. I wouldnt pay for if mysel
We’ve been looking for an Italian restaurant like this for a while. We’ve paid more, and paid less but La Costa Verde fit the bill. We ordered side salad with the house Italian dressing, the Paisano bread, stuffed shells and sausage and peppers. They brought us a basket of hot Italian loaf – if we know we were getting this, we wouldn’t have ordered more. The Paisano bread could have passed as a meal itself – kind of a hot sausage and cheese submarine sandwich. The salad was nice, nothing special but our main dishes were wonderful. I was served 4 large pasta shells, stuffed with cheese, then layered with mozarella cheese and baked. They have wonderful tomato sauce. My husband was served a huge bowl of sausage and peppers in a tomato sauce – he loved it. His salad came with his meal as well as a side of pasta – he chose spaghetti. I had a soda, got a free refill, my husband had a draft beer. The bill came to $37.00 and we have a large container of leftovers to take home – we ordered too
I have to say that I was very pleased with the service! The amount of time it took for the food was not long, but the amount of food was great. My only complaint was that our family (11) was placed at a table that we could not get out of. Leaving us to constantly ask neighboring tables….”Excuse me PLEASE.” With a family of that size, someone is potty training and the other 5 are bathroom inspectors…..if not that, well everyone had to see the peeing boy statue:) Overall we were pleased, we are going back again this weekend!PS: Love the tacky decor, and thanks for the tour fo the kitchen…things like that bring families back!
I love Marco’s Italian Restaurant. I went with my boyfriend and his mom for his birthday and it was just an amazing experience. Though a wine that we tried there once before was not available, Marco personally recommended another that was completely exquisit. We had the brushetta appetizer which was so delicious it is cravable. Two of us ordered chicken parmigana which was again very delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce has a distinct tasty and slightly sweet flavor. One of us ordered orange roughy which was another amazing choice. Service was great and everything was very reasonably price. It is the perfect place for special occasions as well as satisfying your italian cravings.Pros + Great food, wine, service & priceCons – Parking
