Where is the Best Italian Food in Austin, Texas?
I like going here for lunch. The chicken sandwich is delicious, as well as the Caesar salad. If you are in the area, this would make a good date spot because the atmosphere is nice. As you walk in, you see the ovens used for the bread and the smells hit you right away. The walls are painted with refreshing colors. Also, they have the butcher paper covered tables and give you crayons to draw with. It’s locally owned, so that makes it better than any national chain in my book.
Because we got the last available table, we were seated immediately. They seemed to be understaffed, so it took quite a long time for someone to acknowledge our table. The spinach salad was great, and my lasagna was amazing. I also tried the other dishes: Caprino e Balsamico Pizza, Orecchiette all Checca con Scamorza, and Spaghettoni Aglio e Olio con Gamberi. They were all delicious, and the portions were perfect for dinner (sadly, no leftovers). The tiramisu was basic, but the chocolate torte was delightfully rich. We did try to order drinks at the bar while we were waiting, but unfortunately they wouldn’t allow us to add them to our table’s bill (they required separate tabs even though the bar/restaurant area is small & combined). Given that the wait was so long, it would’ve been nice if we were offered bread to munch on. I also think that a small salad should be included with the meal. Our waitress was very sweet, and our overall experience was a nice one.Pros + amazing ta
Our neighbor turned us onto Rome’s. Their pizza is outstanding. The selection of toppings is the most extensive I’ve found in Austin. And when you get your pizza, it’s absolutely bursting with the toppings — they don’t skimp on anything. They have a chicken piccata pizza that is just spectacular. Actually, I don’t think I can pick a favorite combination. Everything that we’ve ordered from there has far exceeded our expectations. If you haven’t yet discovered Rome’s, then this is the time to get over there and fall in love with the place.Pros + Outstanding food, huge choice of pasta, salads, sandwiches and pizza toppings
My husband and I we’re planning on ordering from Austin’s Pizza one day but who knew they close so early at 8pm? So we decided to try Lamppost and we’re glad we did. It’s so much better than Austin’s and they serve more than just pizza. They’re lot more friendly too.I like the atmosphere. It’s a perfect place for parties. We’ve been going back to Lamppost since. ^_^Pros + Good food, Nice place, Friendly
I have traveled the World and have come to appreciate the great food it has to offer .The team at Pizzeria Corvina has created a casually elegant atmosphere with very affordable fresh Neapolitan Pizza, Gourmet appetizers, and authentic Italian fare. The Wine Bar with a hand picked all Italian wine list accentuates the level of detail to bring you a complete experience. The Owners as well as the entire staff have only one thing in mind, and that is you having a great experience. The wonderful people you will encounter at Pizzeria Corvina are both knowledgeable and passionate about everything they have to offer. I have already added this Great Pizzeria to my list of favorite places to have a great glass of wine and relax with friends. If you love the best things in life, then you must encounter Pizzeria Corvina.
