Where is the Best Italian Food in Austin, Texas?
Last night my wife and I went to Bellagio, although a little far from where we live, we couldn’t resist given all of the great reviews. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to our expectations. The atmosphere was cozy, but a little too warm for me. I had sweat dripping off of my forehead all night but, back to the food. The appetizers and salads were very good, but in my opinion it’s pretty hard to mess those up. My wife had the bistecca tuscany, which was bland at best. The garden salad was a treat– instead of typical bagged iceberg and a mealy tomato slice, I had fresh romaine and oakleaf lettuce with carrots, tomatoes, baby corn, sundried tomato bits, olives, garbanzo beans, and a yummy vinaigrette. The calamari were fresh, fresh, fresh and not a bit chewy or tough. I had cheese tortellini with marinara– tender pasta and creamy cheese, with a

From the sunday brunch menu, i had the omelet of the day — very tasty with chanterelle mushrooms and veal sausage. The potatoes were not numerous and tucked into the omelet which was small overall. It was complimented…
