The ambience is wonderful, the service is great and the food is excellent. We will go back in a heartbeat. It is so nice to have this quality of restaurant in Austin! The portions are very big. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, although the minestrone is a bit thicker than is classic and had no legumes. The salad dressing and all the sauces were excellent and rich; The boar shanks were so tender they melted in your mouth and the pork chop was thick and juicy with a fabulous marsala sauce. With a bottle of wine and tip (no dessert or coffee) we spent $75, but could have ordered much less and left full.Pros + Great happy hourCons – no parking

You can’t go wrong starting your evening with a great Italian meal at La Traviata. They have a great menu with a wide variety of pasta and meat dishes to choose from. The wine list isn’t extravagant, but good enough for all but the most discerning winos. Service was knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend the rigatoni with spicy lamb meatballs. EXCELLENT!Being smack-dab downtown, it’s expected that the restaurant will be crowded. Don’t expect to have a ton of space. But the friendly hosts and patrons will make you feel at home at this great downtown Italian eatery. Pros + Excellent food, great serviceCons – Somewhat small/cramped

What an amazingly romantic spot. Spent our 9th Wedding Anniversary here and the chef and wait staff out did themselves. I have been back on several occasions with friends from out of town. Lovely restaurant!

Fazoli’s italian fast food is on par with the quality of the dishes at spaghetti warehouse but Fazoli’s is 1/2 the price. It is a great place for kids, especially on Monday’s when they have their kids eat for 99 cents, but typically the service you get on those days is sub-par…Friday and Saturday nights be prepared to wait a bit for a table… Pros + lunch prices are more reasonableCons – mediocre food in general

I ordered the sampler – quattro al foirno , manicotti , lasanga, etc.. plus the fried mozzerella , and bread … it was good , the sauce especially was yummy and the ingredients seemed very fresh. I have only ordered take out , but the restaurant seems like very cozy place, and nice people. .. had some difficult re-ordering the first person I spoke with didn’t know about this option…I like the location centralPros + authentic fresh, portions, sauceCons – ordering
