Where is the Best Irish Pub in Orange County, California?
My husband grew up in CDM and Muldoon’s is a staple in our weekend plans. This is a great relaxing Irish pub with good food, beer and an upscale crowd. It’s a great place to start the night, where you can sit and talk and enjoy a nice crowd. The layout allows for two bars and an outdoor patio. I love the fresh grapefruit juice they use in their Greyhounds!
What kind of Irish pub has no Guinness (or at least another dark stout like Murphy’s)? I drank a German beer at an “Irish pub” that didn’t have any Irish brews available. Be forewarned…the vibe as ok, but seeing all the green in the pub only reminded me of what I wasn’t drinking. Also, the servers didn’t serve…you have to go to the bar to order, only no one told us this until we’d already been sitting down for 20 minutes (and the bar was pretty empty at the time).Pros + Casual AtmosphereCons – No Guinness
I’ve been to plenty of bars around Los Angeles and Orange county and I have too say this one is the best. The girls are all beautiful and really friendly and you never have too wait for your next drink. The girls come around frequently. Its between two freeways the 22 and 405. I am very lucky to live in walking distance from the green girl. Even if I didn’t this would be my bar of choice.
Gallagher’s is a great pub. They have friendly efficient bartenders every time, and tasty Irish pub food. I recommend going to the bar to order the wait staff service is a bit slower. They have a good variety of music, mostly punk rock, almost every night. They crowd there is usually pretty diverse and laidback, but they do get the occasional pub brawl. The security staff is great at handle those situations, so no worries about it.The cover is no more than $5 most the time so its worth a look.
