Where is the Best Irish Pub in Las Vegas, Nevada?

Using CitySearch and other online sources to find an Irish Pub (Fado being just too far to drive after a long day), we found Kavanaugh’s, read the reviews – admittedly puzzled by the kudos to fiesta salad and barbeque at an Irish pub – and decided to give it a shot. The exterior was definitely Vegas with neon green lights outlining a ‘trying too hard to prove we’re a pub from ‘cross the pond’ architecture which, incidentally, made it quite clear that it was not. The place was busy, so our spirits were lifted (after all, it had to be good if it was busy…. right?). The interior has a lot of authentic-looking European charm which helps with ambience and atmosphere. There was a nice big fireplace in the center of the restaurant, effecting a nice separation of the dining and bar areas. The stained glass and other doorways were definitely warming us up to an Irish pub spirit. Seating is a mix of tables, booths, and half-table/half-booths good enough for just the two of us or larger par

I was really looking forward to going here for my birthday party. They were expecting us and had our table reserved, we went on a Friday night. We were expecting the dueling pianos which didn’t happen because one of he piano players called in. Then myself and a couple friends ordered one of the fishbowls. It tasted good but was so weak. I am not sure there was even alcohol in it. I am not a drinker normally and only two of us ended up drinking it and we felt nothing! Our drinks were coming from the bar to the right of the entrance. All of the drinks were weak. Then when a couple of the girls went to the bar ot the left of the entrance up a few stairs, their drinks were awesome. The food was alright. The service was good. The place did start to pick up and become more fun after 11pm. So we then gave it a shot again a month later. Still there were not any dueling pianos yet supposedly there are supposed to be. The drinks were a little better. All in all, wasn’t as impressed as I was hop

I’ve heard from all the neighbors that “the Kilt” has many good items on their menu, but I’ve never gotten past the FANTASTIC wings! Served by the pound with several choices of their own signature wing sauces (mild, medium, hot, etc). Wings are also served with choice of dressing, celery and a mound of fresh cut shoe string fries – most yummy! A pound of wings makes a filling meal alone (hence the reason I’ve never tried anything else). Service is always prompt and friendly and the manager is always close by and willing to chat.Located in the middle of the casino, you can watch the “parade in the sky” pass by overhead through the front windows. Be careful, as I have been “beaned” with Mardi Gras beads from above while entering the restaurant…LOL! Pros + Friendly, happy staff. Very clean! Good value for the $$Cons – Parking at the Rio, then walking through casino to get here (worth it though!)
