Where is the Best Irish Pub in Houston, Texas?
I have been here several times and it is always a great place to enjoy lunch or come in on friday nights for karaoke. It was definitely not what I was expecting when I first walked in. The atmosphere is very welcoming and they have great drinks too! I am an avid karaoke fan so this place is great if you love karaoke. It does get somewhat packed so get there early if you want to sing! The people there are great and everyone always has a great time. Pros + atmosphere
I recently went to the w. gray location with a group of friends for drinks on a friday night. We had a blast ! The music and the crowd were fun and it wasn’t too loud. Time just flew by…before you knew it it was time to settle the tab and be on our way.The only thing negative that I can say is that the bar was always a little too crowded. When I want my drink, I want it now !Grab a group of friends and go check it out !!!Pros + music, drink selection, foodCons – a little crowded
I went to a wedding reception at Slainte’s several months back & had a great time. Was very surprised to read so many reviews about them having such terribly rude staff. My experience there was nothing the like. Food was good. Music was outstanding. The outside balcony upstairs has an absolutely fantastic view. The decorum was clean & authentic. Nice art work. Close parking was available. Enjoyed it very much.
I don’t know where the owner’s size or gender have a relevant place in a review about a music/restaurant review. What I do know is the Mucky Duck is the best music listening room in Houston. Musicians love the place because the audience is there to – listen. If standing on concrete floors waiting on the headliner to start after midnight is your thing, there’s other places for you. The place is intimate and comfortable with excellent sight lines. If you support live music and/or a specific band then please support the venue that makes it happen. If the owner shows preference to people who are planning to eat dinner at The Mucky Duck understand that that’s the way they make their living. The musicians get ticket money. If you eat and drink somewhere else before the show, how do you suppose they keep the doors open? If the Mucky Duck were a music venue only, it rates as a treasure. Where else in Houston are you going to see first rate music and eat excellent food and enjoy a true 20 ounce
“GRIFF’S!! GRIFF’S!! GRIFF’S!!” By the end of the night, my friends and I were chanting it. Been there twice during the summer, food is cheap and great. Wings, phillies, fries and rings all have my vote, especially with the gift certificate coupons you can find at a site that rhymes with westaurant dot com. Actually, the staff recognized us on our 2nd visit, and they were having pizza for some regulars and offered us some.My brother went there for trivia recently and came in second place. Apparently he got owned by some law professors. Awesome; any place that can offer up folk who can take down my genius of a brother is deserving of a lot of love.Good corn hole; can’t wait to try it out for horns away games next football season and for this bloody mary bar that this site speaks of.Pros + Sweet collection of beer cans and old dusty sports flagsCons – None, unless you consider beers served in plastic cups a con
