Where is the Best Irish Pub in Baltimore, Maryland?

Everything here seems to have been shipped from Ireland, including the staff and the furnishings. The staff were incredibly friendly and chatty – the welcoming handshake and actually remebering my name when visiting for lunch on successive days made my business trip that much more bearable. The beer is very good with a braod enough selection to satisfy most, although a little overpriced, and the food is good solid traditional fayre. I would recommend visiting here.Pros + Beer, Ambience, Staff

Loved this pub. Have visited pubs from Hawaii to Newfoundland. Almost didn’t try it when we found out it was a newly renovated Chi Chi’s. Outside looks like a cookie cutter but one foot in the door and you are in Old Ireland. Great small dining nooks, incredible bar/dining area with fireplace. Clearly my vote for the best New World Irish Pub. The Shepards pie and the peasants pie are served in a puff pastry shell, great twist on an old standard. Incredible visit, good comfort food, warm fire, smooth Guinness.Pros + Great ambience, private dinning nooks in a large facilityCons – none

I’ve been frequenting J. Patrick’s on and off now for 14 years and if it wasn’t for the distance (I live in Virginia now) I would be there every weekend. There is always something going on – from live music Friday – Sunday nights, to Irish sessions during the week, to a monthly Ceilidh (Irish dance) every second Sunday of the month. The pub fare is good, the beer is even better, and the bartenders, Joe (the owner) and Jim (his long time sidekick) are the best. It’s probably one of the quaintest most down to Earth pubs you will find – it’s actually situated in a row of townhomes and you won’t find that in any new development! So if you are looking for excellent music and service in a very “Cheers” like setting, you won’t be disappointed. Pros + Best Irish music in town and real Irish Cider on draft
