Where is the Best Irish Pub in Atlanta, Georgia?
This is a OK place to go if you are just out and about around underground and you want to have a drink at the bar. The bartender Elise is about the sexiest thing there and she is an 8 in my book and friendly. I have been here a few times now this place gets pretty gheto after 10PM. The DJ, DJ Mike, plays new hip hop tracks that everyone seems to groove to. The food is horrible and the drinks are slightly overpriced. This is not a place to take a date. If you do not like smoke then stay away after 9PM because that’s when cigarettes and black and milds will stick to you clothing. Oh yeah, this is not an Irish joint at all. More like the Dirty South version of a gheto Irish pub. If you do not flash money, you may not get service.Pros + Bar Scene, Music, Hip HopCons – Food, General drink prices, service
I go there with my wife at least once month to enjoy an order of Irish nachos (double order of Ranch), Hot Chicken tenders with veggies on the side and a pitcher of beer For years weve been making this trip and never got tired of this place or this order. Choose time to visit it wisely I wouldnt go there until after kids go to bed. Otherwise an occasional family with screaming kids might ruin your evening. Dont get me wrong it doesnt happen all the time, but keep in mind that family friendly is sometimes a flaw (especially if you dont have kids). Overall its the perfect bar food joint. The service is good, the food is divine, and 90% of the time the atmosphere is very nice as well. Forget Righteous Room, Highlander, and The Local Meltons is the real bar food paradise.Pros + Irish Nachos, Great Service, Value
North Highland Pub has a lot going for it – surprisingly good food, great beer selection, stiff drinks, friendly patrons, really good jukebox, and it’s away from the VaHi frat party between Ponce and Virginia. Here’s the kicker though: The Monday through Thursday bartender is really good. The weekend bartender is one of the worst in history. If you’re looking for a good place during the week, I highly recommend parking on the street (there’s a valet nearby, but don’t use it) and grabbing a seat at the bar. It’s real easy to spend 3 or 4 hours drinking there on a Tuesday night and walk away having dropped only $30 or so.If you are looking for terrible service where the bartender ignores you, pours lousy drinks, acts like he’s ticked off all of the time, and doesn’t really want you to get a drink, much less have a good time then you should go there on a Friday or Saturday. That guy really is awful and we’ve tried to give him chance after chance but have given up on this place on the w
