When I happened upon Shady Glen yesterday I thought “How is it possible to have lived in CT the past 35 years and never heard of this wonderful place! Shady Glen is a great throwback to the 50’s – when life was simpler. Each male employer was wearing a Shady Glen hat, and every female a forest green dress! The menu is on the wall and the place is bustling. Customers are friendly. I asked the man next to me for a recommendation and he didn’t hesitate to recommend the cheeseburger!
