Where is the Best Ice Cream in Hartford, Connecticut?
I have worked at Wentworth’s Ice cream for almost 4 years. My favorite is Peppermintstick Its only found during the winter months but it is amazing as a milkshake. When you come to wentworths you will get happy smiles, great and fast service, and amazing Ice cream. I have ate at many ice cream shoppes and I must say wentworths is always still my favorite. Now in college in RI I find myself craving wentworths and wanting to drive to hours to get there. Wentworths is truely an amazing place!Pros + won best Ice Cream in CT 2008&2009Cons – none!
I must protest that current rating. Everything Ice cream is the best ice cream I have ever had. THe service is always top notch, the store is always super clean, and the ice cream is amazing. I moved over an hour away recently, however I still make a point to drive up to get ice cream whenever I can.There is no reason why thsi store should not be the #1 in CT, let alone top in the country.Pros + Reasonable prices, Amazing Ice Cream, Clean store
I’m an ice cream addict. I’ll admit it. I will go far and wide to try different types of ice cream (see my reviews of other spots). Mortensen’s is the best tasting ice cream in Connecticut, in my expert opinion. 🙂 They have a plethora of flavors…all are to die for! They even have non fat, no sugar added ice cream that tastes wonderful (tough to find any of those that has any taste/substance to it). They have some outstanding pies, also. Since I’ve been going there I’ve got to know the owner, Ron Mortensen. What a terrific, outstanding business owner. Very nice man. He really runs a tight ship as the customer service is wonderful.Pros + Large # of ice creams, Excellect service, Great variety
I grew up in Simsbury, and after graduation from college, I have recently settled in Charlotte, NC. Let me tell you….I miss the days of Tulmeadow Farm!! Not only was the homemade ice cream unbelievable, but I had the opportunity to spend my summers watching everyone else enjoy the “ice dream” because I was employed there as a scooper. What a wonderful summer job…and let me tell you, nothing in North Carolina even compares to Tulmeadow!! Raspberry Chocolate Chip…mmmmm….Pros + the service!!, the flavor!!, the variety!!Cons – It is not in NC, long lines, smell of cows
Smooth creamy and delicious, Ashley’s offers unique flavors along with their famous standbys. Sweet Cream, yummy! I particularly like the number of candy bar variations, add some hot fudge and homebaked brownie it is a homerun. Not to mention the fast and friendly service.Pros + fresh, delicious, varity
