Where is the Best Ice Cream in Detroit, Michigan?
Erma’s is the best ice cream shop everrrr!!!!!! I was first told about this place from my uncle and aunt. who showed my parents before i was born. Ive been going there ever since i can remeber. Their ice creamm is extreamlly good and i love almost all of their flavors of the week!!! My uncle was in love with the place and unfortunatly past away about 6 months ago. We go there all the time in memory of him. Ironically he was buried at the cemetary just down the road. Ermas is memorable and has the best ice cream… NO1 ELSE COMES CLOSEEEEEE!!!Pros + cheap, great ice cream, unbeatable
When I was a kid Mom use to stop and get us one on the way to pick Dad up from work. That was 40 + years ago. Recently I was on a trip back home and happened to be driving by the location and I could not believe my eyes, It was still there. I immediatly turned around and bought us a frozen custard. It is just how I remembered it. DELICIOUS!!! I will make a point to stop any time I am around town. Thank you Bob Jo for your commitment to exelence and for the happy memories you brought back to me.
Ray’s is a wonderful way to end a summer night. I love rushing over between 9 and 10p and relaxing outside with the others. They have an extensive list of flavors and still give you nice big scoops. The only downfalls: each scoop is one flavor so if you want chocolate and vanilla you need 2 scoops and their weird refridgeration system. Every so often you get a sniff of ammonia as they freezers run on ammonia instead of the traditional freon. But boy is their ice cream good! And cold! They also have specialty items you can order. Ice cream in the shapes of fruit with or without liquor fillings. So beautiful and excellent taste. Great to order for a group.Pros + Great Ice CreamCons – Long Lines, Smell?
