Where is the Best Hotel Bar in Denver, Colorado?

We had an excellent dinner once before with Jeremy as our server. We decided to try again for lunch. Mistake. It took one full hour to even get bread. It took another 30 minutes to get soup. When it arrived it was ice cold (3 different bowls). We had to search for someone to refill our water glasses and they were refilled just once, at 1 hour and 45 minutes into the dining. A totally terrible 2nd visit compared to a very good 1st. Our friends have had similar up-and-down experiences here ranging from great to terrible.Forget this place for Italian. Go to Gabriel’s (www.gabrielsdenver dot com) and get treated like royalty!

Let me preface this by saying Panzano may have gotten 5 stars from me, had it not been for the dinner I ate at Barolo Grill. This was very good in all regards. The mixed greens salad was very bland, with no dressing to speak of. The main course was a salmon and shrimp ravioli in a lobster bisque sauce. The sauce was amazing, although I must admit, lobster bisque is among my favorite things in the world, when done right. The ravioli was well cooked, as was the mixture of salmon and shrimp. The wait staff was fine, but read my other reviews if you want good (and bad) waitstaff. So overall, for the money, it was a solid 4 stars. Pros + FoodCons – Price, Parking

I came here for lunch on a weekday. The place was practically empty so you don’t really need reservations. It was chilly the day that I went, but the patio area would be nice to sit at when the weather is nice. I had the angus burger which was pretty good. Prices are a little high here–you’re definitely paying for the ambiance. Service was good. Pros + good ambianceCons – pricey

Wanting to go out to a piano bar on Friday the 13th, I called ahead to the Tiffany Rose that afternoon. The website advertised a bar with appetizers and light jazz piano on Friday and Saturday nights. The phone rang and rang until the Adams Mark Hotel receptionist answered. I asked, “Is the Tiffany Rose open tonight? No one’s picking up.” She assured me that it was of course open later that evening, and transferred me to the nearby restaurant, which also confirmed that the Tiffany Rose would be open. After going all the way downtown – it wasn’t. And, it looks NOTHING like the website photo! I have no idea what angle they took that picture from, but it was unrecognizable. It’s just a clump of nasty chairs shoved into the corner of the hotel lobby – there was a piano, but no one was playing it. It had all the ambiance of a bus station. Bright, bright overhead lighting, worn furniture and stained carpeting, no bar, no kitchen. It did have a prime view of the lobby restrooms.Pros + Disc
