Where is the Best Hookup Spot in Seattle, Washington?
It was our first time going to Twist. We made reservations on Opentable. From the outside, it looks like it could be a cool place. First impression when walking through the door was cheap. The website makes it look like a much nicer place than it is. The hostesses were nice and acknowledged our request for a view table. Walking down the hall towards dining room the water feature along the wall was cool as was disco pig above the bar. There was a great view looking out the windows towards Elliot Bay, until you get to the table at the window and your are right above the freeway, and say “oh, nice view of the freeway”. After being seated, again my impression of the place was cheap. The linens, tables and chairs were something you would see in a banquet hall at the local FOE club. Our server was nice when taking our drink order. I wanted to order some infused vodka as mentioned in the Citysearch Editorial review. The server informed us that they haven’t had that for over a year

Ill make this short, sweet and to the point-as I am not a restaurant connoisseur and am not much for the happy hour scene. It was new years and a large group of friends-myself included were headed to amber. Love the look of the place-large enough for a new year?s party with an appeal of a quiet night for a drink. Everything seemed to be running smoothly, however the staff is clearly under-trained, unprofessional and poorly managed. I gave my coat to the woman manning the coat check (who I later found out later was equally as drunk as fellow new year?s party goers behind the hostess stand) and she handed me a number. Cool that it was complimentary to the guests. When I went back to the “coat check” there was no one responsible behind the counter. Bottom line, I had the number that she gave me with NO coats on the hangers at 1:15am. I would have rather have paid to know that my coat was going to be there when I was ready to leave. The place was a zoo, the bouncers seem to be ove
Just when the suburb crowds have figured out that Belltown was the place to be Seattlelites have got a brand new present – Havana. We hope that things, people and entertainment evolve and in case of Havana our hopes have been fulfilled. Take Belltown neatness, subtract the snobbiness, add more diversity and you have what could be a great destination of 2007.I have been to Havana several times already and it has been an off and on kind of place. Now it seems like the buzz is catching on and you are guaranteed to rub elbows with a bunch of other twenty something year olds. The absence of a known promoter evens out the egos in the crowd – you don’t have the girls who are “with the DJ” and the guys who are “on the list” – everyone can get in most nights without cover. The drinks are well poured and the tables are positioned around the dance floor. Havana is small and it might become a victim of it’s own success. It might be able to hold around 200 people comfortably. One key thin
