Typhoon sucks ass, as a PB local for 8 years this would be one of my last choices! Takes forever to get in, really strict dress code for being a beach bar, and way to crowded! Do your self a favor when you see it….keep walking!

San Diego’s original bottle service, VIP-style club is back in action after a complete renovation in 2009. The entrance is now on Market Street at the corner of Sixth Ave, just off the Gaslamp’s main drag. VIP booths still line the back wall, but the main bar up front has been expanded and completely overhauled. Black and red accents, hanging birdcages (the DJ booth is now elevated inside a birdcage) and a long communal bar table now mark the space, in addition to a new performance area where everything from go-go dancers to three-piece jazz ensembles entertain the crowd. The club still has a working kitchen, with an updated menu of dinner options and after-work drinks and snacks options. As always, slices from neighbor Ciro’s (also remodeled under new ownership in 2009) are always available.
