Where is the Best Hookup Spot in Miami, Florida?
This place is way too much over rated. First of all, as you guys all know, club atmosphere change every minute, and this is NOT an upscale club. You do not have to dress up to impress, just regular club outfits. Only thing that’s upscale is about their drink prices. Also, entrance line is VERY long, expect about 30-45 mins waiting guys. Music is okay, and drink is not bad either- the impression that I got from this place is this is a typical ‘tourist’ club, not celeb hang out anymore.Pros + Even it says no smoking, you can smoke.Cons – Long wait line, atmosphere, and prices.
Now you know 2 for 1 always leads to a good time!! I have not tried the food at Tarpon Bend as of yet, but I will say they put on one heck of a good Happy Hour!! I love my Mojitos, and I will admit I am a huge snob on what I consider a good drink, (as all Connoisseurs should be.) One bartender made a very good drink, and one of the other gals did not. In conversation with the first gentleman I mentioned he made a better drink, and not only did he swap out the glass in front of me free of charge (and without a formal request I might add) but he made sure to personally serve my entire party for the rest of the night!! Excellent customer service on his part. I only wish I had thought to get his name!!Pros + Great drinks, great value–fun but not too fancy atmosphereCons – Very crowded even very early
Mynt is a good club. It is isn’t exceptional but no clubs in Miami truly are. The music is good, and they have a hip-hop room downstairs. I would recommend it to anyone coming to Miami, especially if you are European. Please note the following about upscale MIami clubs: 1) If you are a group of guys not getting a table, forget getting in. 2) If you are overweight, and/or ugly, and you aren’t getting a table, you are not getting in. 3) If you arrive with a higher female to male ratio and the girls are hot, you will get in. 4) Getting a table is always the best option as these clubs tend to get crowded. It’s not fun when you are being pushed and your drink spilled on you, etc. Not hating on overweight or unattractive people. I am just stating facts. Great sushi…they do not go cheap on the fish in the rolls like some places do. Also, the sake was great…waiter was informative…although i felt like he tried to rush us in the end by pouring all of our sake into our glasses…which we did not want to do b/c we wanted to keep it warm until we were ready to finish it. Other than that, everything was great!Pros + Generous portion of fish in rollsCons – Waiter tried to turn the table too quickly
