Where is the Best Hookup Spot in Los Angeles, California?
Went to this spot for the first time with a bunch of friends for a birthday celebration. It wasn’t super busy, which we didn’t expect on a sunday night and the music was a variety of live musicians performing “unplugged” style sets. The musicians were okay but nothing phenomenal. The ambience is amazing. Cool “old school” red leather booths and chairs and a padded red leather wall when you first walk in, candles all over, a long lit-up bar dominates the main room and there is also a side VIP room. My biggest complaint was the bartender. I ordered a Cosmo and it was dreadful. When I asked him why it was so sweet, he said he’d remake it with less simple syrup. I told him a Cosmo is supposed to have vodka, cranberry, triple sec and lime and no simple syrup. He proceeds to make me a vodka martini with splash of cranberry, and a wedge of lemon on the glass. Not a good sign when a bartender can’t make a basic cocktail standard at every bar in LA and doesn’t seem to care. When a glass was k
My gf and i were bored one night and decided to try out some bars in Studio City. Luckily, I live right around Laurel and Ventura and found Clear!! This is now my new favorite place to be specially if you want a Hollywood crowd! Why go to Hollywood If you can stay with in the heart of Studio City? Single ladies gather up and definitely try Clear. The guys are hot, hot, hot! Just had one little problem: It was so hard to get my guy friends in… Because they did have to wait a while because one of them had to wear some stupid flip-flops.Pros + I love how tropical the smoking patio is : )Cons – Smoking patio should be bigger
Sangria really gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights. As a club it can be really fun (if you are 21-29. After that it’s not fun anymore. It is more of a meat market, so don’t say I didn’t warn you. The food is really good, but very pricey. If you dine there before you go out, you are already in the club, so no cover charge. The bartenders are very busy so I guess that makes it OK for them to be very rude.
Great spot for day drinking and bringing back the nostalgic feel of a college party! The happy hour has some good deals and the special events that occur ocasionally here are usually pretty crowded. The best part about this place was the crowd and the service (one in the same). Everyone was friendly and very talkative. The only down side was the strong stench of vommit when walking towards the bathroom. The place is kinda small so it get’s rather crowded. You might wana get their somewhat earlier than the crowds just to snag a table or spot to hang at with your crew. The outside patio is literally right on the street of Wilshire Ave and is a great spot to people watch! All in all a fun place to meet people and have a few good priced drinks while you’re at it!Pros + Friendly service, Friendly Crowd, Good priced drinks, Great Happy Hour placeCons – Somewhat small and crowded
