At Trader Joe’s, the canned goods, frozen foods and cheeses are top-notch, as is the wine selection (must try the Bear’s Lair chardonnay). In terms of product, only the produce disappoints (over-ripe bananas, bruised apples, limited selection of veggies). Still, it’s the kind of grocery store that can make a mac-n-cheese bachelor look like a gourmet chef without breaking the bank. But TJ’s does its customers no favors with the awkward layout of the registers. Lines that form immediately cut of traffic to the exits and run into the aisles. The parking lot is, without fail, a complete zoo as well. The staff is always friendly and helpful, however. (If the store seems to be out of your favorite item, just ask about it–they’ll usually order it or save a selection for you from the next scheduled shipment.) All in all, it’s worth the hassle.Pros + Great service, Unique foodsCons – Parking, Checkout lines

I was first invited to Runyon by a date who was most patient, seeing as how I could barely make it up the hill to the front gate of the park. As a matter of fact, we had to turn around 5 minutes into the park. One time we even attempted it when I had a busted knee on the mend. That was great PT, btw. Hmmm, maybe I should rethink him. Anyhoo…years later, sometimes I do Runyon 3 times a week in about 45 minutes RT. It’s all up hill until you get to the top where the 2 (not the 1) benches are, then it’s all downhill. If you enter through the stinky (meaning putrid) gate, and continue straight at the fork in the road, then you will absolutely need real hiking footwear with serious treads for real gripping action once you hike past the 1 bench. It’s all dirt and slick as a sliding board both up and down, not to mention as steep as one, too. I’ve seen people in flip flops trying to hike it. Needless to say, they admitted to falling down several times. Whoever took them there sho

all-American fare and inventive cocktails in this The Scene Whitewashed, high ceilings, an inviting 40-foot bar and frequently revolving artwork by artists such as Peter Alexander and Joni Mitchell contribute to the restaurant’s hip, contemporary ambience. A mixed bag of diners–from casual …‎

We (7 people) spent three hours drinking and eating and then were asked to move inside because another party showed up. They movedus near the bthroom area indoors. Manager was the worst – snapped at me and told me to sit down. Waste of money especially for No happy hour with bad attitude and rude service. Plenty of great places down the street that appreciate your business.
