We stayed at this hotel five years ago and thought it was a great hotel. For our return visit to Houston we had some reservations about staying here again because of some of the reviews on this site. In the end we forged ahead and came back to an old favorite and we were glad we did. Yes the hotel…

If you are going to the Village for beer, then be sure to stop by Little Woodrows. It has beer specials for every day of the week – some not so amazing and others that are pretty good deals. The crowd is not so bad either. I was expecting more of the “prep” and “jock” type, but in reality you have a nice blend of people – old and young, trendy and laid-back. Parking may be difficult on busy nights – as is the case with all of the bars in the Village that do not have their own lots. But you are bound to find a spot that is not very far away. If you want liquor, of course, Little Woodrows is not the place to go. However, the Village location gives you a chance to be smart (as much as that is possible while going out at night) with your spending. I went here based on the martini reviews, and they really do have the best ones in town! So many to choose from, but if you tell the bartender what you like- they’ll know the perfect martini for you. The place was quite small, but great if your going out with your spouse or girlfriends to relax and chat. I really liked this place, the only thing that creeped me out were the guys that were there- just didn’t feel very safe… Overall I’d go back with a group or my husband…Pros + Best Martinis I’ve ever had, cute & cozy placeCons – hard parking, tiny, not safe young women

On a pretty weekend, RA opens up their windows on the second floor, so guests can enjoy the sunshine and music across the way playing at Central Market. However, the best time to go is for happy hour.Happy hour is from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday-Saturday. They have 1/2 off appetizers and sushi, $1 sakes, $2 Beers, $3 well drinks, $4 wines and specialty drinks, and $5 Kirin. The best roll on the menu is the Viva Las Vegas roll–crunchy, creamy, spicy, with just a hint of sweetness. Only order two though, or you will feel like you have been through a Vegas buffet.Pros + Happy HourCons – Can be a little too clubby
