Where is the Best Hookup Spot in Boston, Massachusetts?
Monday through Thursday from 5-7pm, Noir offers their food menu at prices ranging from $0-5. It’s amazingly easy to cobble together a meal from all the offerings. Drinks are pricier, mostly running over $10, but are well worth it for the combination of classics and unique seasonal libations. If you price it right, you can get out of Noir with dinner for under $20.The room itself is not particularly comfortable, but if you’re looking for a dark corner to enjoy your drinks in, you’ve found your place. Of course, if you also want to see what you’re drinking, you’re out of luck.Pros + 54321 bar menu, dark roomCons – drinks are pricy, dark room
I used to come to Silvertone’s all the time when I lived in Beacon Hill. It’s a little hard to find at first, since it’s in the basement. When you do discover it, you realize how much you like the cocktails and the food. It’s not fancy but consistent and a good way to get something in your stomach especially when you are bar hopping on a weekend or even after work. Location cant be beat. My only complaint is that it can and does get quite loud and the waitstaff are ofter stretched thin when they get full. Which is often! Pros + Great drinks and foodCons – hard to find, loud, busy
I love the Cactus Club. I’ve had my fair share of happy hour get togethers here, and keep coming back.First off, just go order the Horni Margarita. It’s my drink of choice at Cactus. If you sit in the bar area, grab some half price appetizers Monday-Thursday from 4-7pm. I love the empanadas personally. The one time I sat in the dining room, the service was awful. Our waitress abandoned us multiple times (while waiting to order, while waiting for the bill, and while waiting for her to come pick up the bill so we could leave), and each time came back and said that she just forgot about us. One time she let us know she had gone out back for a cigarette. Great. After that, I haven’t sat in the dining room again. Instead I opt for the bar area. Grab a high top, a margarita, and enjoy the fast service and good food and drinks!Pros + selection of margaritas, delicious chips and salsaCons – rare to find parking, dining room service can be slow
The Beehive is a great place to hear music, that isn’t a crappy indie rock bar. The schedule is always changing, and you really don’t know who is going to be playing there from one night to the next. Unfortunately, the food can be as unpredictable as the music. I have had great meals there, and I have had mediocre, but I don’t necessarily go there for the food first. I go with friends, for drinks, dancing, etc. The food is secondary. I’ve always loved the atmosphere of this place, and that’s what keeps me coming back.Pros + The music is always worth checking outCons – Not really a place to sit and talk
