Where is the Best Hookup Spot in Atlanta, Georgia?

As much as things change, including the ongoing gentrification of Ponce de Leon Avenue, It’s nice to know some things stay the same. Clubs and trends come and go, but Wednesdays at MJQ still reigns as the best club night in the city. The no frills former parking garage is approaching it’s12th anniversary, and every week you get exactly what you expect from the old stand-by. From the break dancers in the cafe, Poppy pissed at someone at the front door, or the old dude who’s the first one on the dance floor every week in the main room, the Q still delivers. The new faces keep the club fresh, and the regulars make the place still matter. Here’s hoping the legendary hole in the ground can fend off the Chipotles and Urban Outfitter’s for just a few more years. It’s still free, DJ Brian Parris still delivers, and the Q still matters. Mod’s, Jew’s, and Queer’s, everyone is still welcome on Ponce.Pros + An Atlanta StapleCons – The day after

I went there for brunch two weeks ago and it was fabulous – huge buffet with yummy, fresh food (both cold and hot options) and attentive chef service. One of the best brunches in Atlanta by far for the food. However, service was definitely mediocre and our brunch took twice as long because the waitress was not attentive. The wait was a big surprise as she only had to serve us drinks, and for much of the time we were her only table. So go if you have time to spare!Pros + Great food, nice space & locationCons – Bad service

Why does City Search rate this place so high when all of the reviews are negative? I think the editors should research their own sites BEFORE the ratings are set!

If you’ve visited the world’s largest hunk of exposed granite featuring a giant relief sculpture of Confederate leaders Lee, Jackson and Davis then you know what it is to feel your proud Southern heritage welling up inside you. Offering a Civil War museum, two hotels and a huge recreational spread, the park draws scores of unwashed visitors who you don’t want to share a tram ride to the top of the mountain with. The restored antebellum plantation, scenic railroad and paddlewheel boat are popular. But the best event is the “free laser show” that allows you to witness greater Atlanta’s lower class child rearing (or should I say beating) at its best, especially when witnessed against the backdrop of the late Elvis Presley crooning Glory, Glory Haleluia as the laser animated pieces of General Lee’s broken saber regroup into the reunited states of the Post Civil War U.S. It’s a chilling tribute to the War of Northern Agression and definitely worth the $8.00 price of admission to the park.

I tried to get to the SunDial at sunset we missed our 8:15 reservation and made it around 8:45. Staff was polite and we were immediately accomodated. The sky was still a little pink. The view was breaktaking! My boyfriend and I were speechless. I was surpised at how big the restaurant was and how nicely dim and romantic it was. Don’t feel bad for taking pictures, everyone does. We were celebrating my boyfriend’s acceptance into Pharmacy school. I hadn’t had the chance to tell our server, Abdul, but he brought us an extra dessert. Raspberry and chocolate sorbet. I don’t like chocolate but the their chocolate sorbet was good. The Blackberry Napoleon was good (the berries werent sweet but…so what) the cream was so heavy and rich. YUM! Food is pricey…I would reccomend to share dessert. drinks (wine) are small but nice. Perfect restaurant. Staff is friendly and parking is validated at the end of the night. My boyfriend felt so special and kept thanking me. You will get many brownie poin
