I happened upon this gem just driving down 5th west one day to turn around. The outside could not prepare me for the amazing collection of furniture and antiques they have inside. Many beautiful large trunks and smaller accent pieces. After wandering around quite a bit I settled on a wonderful glass and accacia almirah with a few nice accent pieces to help set it off. This was some cabinet with what I can only describe as an old world ruggedness. I am refinishing some rooms in my house and will defintely be returning there for some more stuff.Pros + selection and quality

I always go to Campo first when I’m looking for furniture– they have a style that can fit in a wide range of looks- from contemporary/modern to more rustic and warm. I’ve found most of the staff to be very helpful– offering to store my stuff for weeks until I can pick it up and giving me great discounts when I buy more than one thing. All of the pieces that I have bought there for my home and office have stood the test of time for durability and quality. I always recommend Campo to anyone who is looking for unique furniture with some ‘soul’.Pros + Great displays, helpful staff, good style, a great variety- and sometimes you can find great deals.Cons – Can be overpriced.

I recently had the opportunity to visit San Francisco Design on Highland Drive. It was one of the best furniture experiences I have ever had ( if one measures this sort of thing). I haven’t purchase furniture for at least 30 years, and yes my house looks it. When I walked in I was overwhelmed with all that I have been missing in the furniture end of things. But maybe it was a bit too overwhelming for me. I almost turned right around and left, but a wonderful salesperson saw the suprise on my face, and reassured me that I could take this furniture thing at my own pace. I knew I could do this, but to hear it from someone who at other stores would be trying to sell me the works, it was very comforting. I was looking for a entertainment center for a tv (that I hadn’t yet purchased). It was so nice to have the salesperson ask all about the tv I was thinking about buying. (they don’t sell tvs at San Francisco Design) She knew quite a bit about tvs for not selling them. She wanted me to get

Manhattan Loft carries the type of furniture I expect to see in larger cities like San Francisco or New York. I have special ordered several items, including an Innovation brand platform bed and mattress. The first frame that arrived was too large to fit through the stairs to my finished attic space and they happily took the frame back and ordered a two piece frame that I could assemble myself. The staff is always eager to please and I am always excited to see what new items they have available.Pros + Unique selection, Friendly staff
