Where is the Best Home Decor in Nashville, Tennessee?
My wife and I just purchased a condo in the Gulch area of Nashville, we are firm believers in buying locally (even if the price is a little higher to do so) so a few weeks ago we headed to Lafayette st. It is close by, and locally run. When we arrived I was immediately turned off by the outdated building, it sort of looks like a used car store from the outside and a cluttered mess within. We were greeted at the door by an older woman who was nice, but seemed insincere- but whatever, its retail. I rarely meet a salesperson who seems genuinely thrilled, and in that dusty mess who can blame her.Anyhow, the real problem came when we were in the back of the store looking at hanging fixtures (we are interested in customizing our new baths). The lamps hang steps away from the appliance area. This is where we overheard an employee discussing with another being fearful of her job security. We overheard her tell the other that “he was the 3rd person to be fired after being written up on
I’m the kind of guy who researches everything about a product or store before I commit to buying. So when my girlfriend decided she wanted a new bed for her birthday, I did research on the majority of the mattress stores in Nashville. Of all those stores, Sleep Well looked the most promising. They have national brand beds as well as lesser known companies at a fraction of retail pricing. They are able to sell at such discounts due to cosmetic problems in the bedding. Functionally, nothing is wrong with the beds. Our salesman, Richard, was wonderful. He was knowledgeable and helpful. We purchased a $2200 king-sized mattress for $650. The flaw? Bad stitching. Who cares because the bed’s sheets will cover that up. They delivered it within 1 hour. I highly recommend Sleep Well to anyone looking for a new bed. You’ll save tons of money!Pros + Excellent Prices, Superb Service, Quality ProductsCons – NONE
Pay no attention to the review that calls Bradford’s “snooty”…it was likely written by the owner or an affiliate of the Gallery of Belle Meade (username “poshshopper”) in response to cyrusthecat’s negative review of the Gallery of Belle Meade. If you look at the Gallery of Belle Meade’s reviews, you will see that poshshopper has written a gleaming review of what is likely a store with which he or she is affiliated. I had a similar, equally aggravating experience with the Gallery of Belle Meade and needed to reorder items elsewhere. I looked at both Bradford’s and Sprintz. Bradford’s had a lovely selection and friendly service. A Bradford’s associate was very helpful; she returned my call the same day when I inquired about the prices of a few items. I ended up choosing Sprintz because of their huge selection, outstanding prices, and – most important – outstanding customer service. Sprintz went out of their way to remedy the order that the Gallery of Belle Meade botched. Even t
