Where is the Best Home Decor in Atlanta, Georgia?
I recently made a major purchase at By Design. Of course like most people I shopped around with other stores. I got quotes from all the stores I visited and By Design had the best value. All the salespeople I spoke with at By Design were very helpful and friendly without being too pushy. I had arranged my order to be delivered. Their customer service department was very thorough. They called to confirm my delivery and the day I setup I was actually going out of town so I rescheduled with no hassles. It was a great experience.Pros + Good Value, Customer Service, SalespeopleCons – Good Parking
The Curtain Exchange is a large store on Huff Road amongst the West Side Design District. The minute I walked in the door I was greeted by a very polite sales consultant who gave me the “low down” on what they have to offer and their “try them before you buy them” curtain policy. This is a one stop curtain store and they have all the traditional decorative finials, hardware, wooden and wrought iron rods. I was also interested in ordering a set of Hunter Douglas blinds for my bathroom. They have custom bedding that you can match to your curtains. WOW…pretty cool! I was blown away by all of the custom ready-made curtains they had hanging on the walls…the full wall of custom samples from which to order. I love their samples because they are large so you can actually see the repeat patterns. OMG! There must have been several hundred or so….I told her that I was not ready to buy just yet and there was definitely no pressure. As a matter of fact, I made multiple trips to the store an
We visited their showroom and was ignored by the salespeople. Their showroom was very small. They only have limited amount of furniture options. They seemed uninterested in our business. I actually liked some of their merchandise, but their attitude made me rethink my decision. Pros + Some nice designsCons – Terrible customer service
I know they have very groovy looking, well made furniture, but you would be doing yourself a service to find that stylin’ piece somewhere else! We have bought furniture from them twice, thinking that the first time we had a bad experience was a fluke. NOT SO! The first time, they charged our card twice for the entire furniture order, resulting in a big hassle canceling the extra charge and resulting fees. The next time, not only did the chair take about 6 weeks longer than they said it would take to come in, they continuously mixed up our order with other people’s. They called us and told us to come pick up our chairs, plural, when we had only ordered one. When we arranged to have my in-laws bring their truck to help us pick it up, they told us the two chairs they had gotten in were for someone else. This was followed by about 3 weeks of them not knowing where the chair was and calling us daily to say so. When it finally came in, they let me pick it up without checking any ID, or even
