Where is the Best Happy Hour in Denver, Colorado?
We came about the restaurant on accident. We were headed to a different restaurant when we walked by and thought we would try it out. It was busy when we walked in but we were given attention right away. We had a great waitress and felt very comfortable from the start. This is something we look for in neighborhood restaurants even though we dont frequent them much. We ordered a few cocktails throughout dinner and they were great. The only downfall is that they do offer a happy hour but only if you are lucky enough to get one of the few seats in the bar area. Our food was good, nothing extrodinary, but very good. We really enjoyed ourselves. The only other thing I would complain about is that they were a bit overpriced. Our bill was over $100 for the two us and we didnt do anything lavish.( 2 martinis, 2 glasses of wine, 1 appetizer, and 2 entrees) So long story short its a great place, just expect to spend a little. Neighborhood restaurants with good food and service are hard to come
So, I usually go out of town to visit with my girlfriends and “go out”. This time, my best friend was headed up here and since we weren’t exactly wanting the club scene, I wasn’t sure where to go! We DID however, want club music and seeing the previous reviews about this place I decided to give it a go.I loved the music, the DJ was fantastic. Everything he played was exactly what I wanted to hear and didn’t know it – haha. It was loud, but not too loud – I could still hear what my friends were saying. The atmoshphere was wonderful, the lighting great, the seating very social. It was small and cramped, which sucked, but what are you gonna do – they did the best with what they had. Our waitress was such a sweetpea! My only real gripes were not enough people, not a good range of people and not clearly marked. I think if we could get the word out about it, it would be close to perfect!Pros + Atmosphere, music, waitress, bartender invented great drinks for meCons – small, got
My sister and I went there just for some drinks and were very impressed. It was my birthday and they gave us a free dessert, which was absolutely delicious. The recommended great wines, and the artichoke dip was also great- actual artichokes, not like some places that you go where is is just pureed and you can tell it came from the freezer! The only drawback is the extremely loud bar across the street! Of course Vines is a little pricey, but that ‘s because it’s a wine bar! If you want cheap, go to the bar across the street.Pros + Great wine list, good foodCons – Across from a very loud bar
This is a favorite local haunt for the fun-loving CapHill crowd and the beer tokens make me feel like I’m at Chucky Cheese’s (without the kids, clean air, and prizes). Food and service is spotty, but the servers are a riot, so don’t get all uptight yuppie, go to uptown for that. The servers here will actually, more often than not, make you feel at home. Great patio during the day and warm evenings, and I can’t remember ever seeing a fight. Loud, smokey and unpretentious, The Park is my personal fav for a beer or nine!Pros + Servers, Atmosphere, 3 Happy Hours!Cons – Can Get Crowded
