Where is the Best Happy Hour in Cleveland, Ohio?
Food is way below average – several times have had cold (ie frozen!) wings and cold soups. Several items returned as not prepared properly (well done hamburgers brought out rare). Turnover of personnel appears to be a big problem here. We are lcoals and have visited regularly only to have a different server everyt ime almost. Some are good but they move onto better places. Food way below average, high priced beers and poor overall service.
I visited Cleveland on business a couple of days ago. I was staying at a downtown hotel and went walking in search of a place for a casual dinner spot and found Flannery’s. Nice atmosphere, in an attractive part of downtown not too far from the Convention Center and major hotels and moderately priced. They have a good selection of draft beers (Irish and other)served in 20 oz. Imperial pints and attentive servers. I had the fish and chips and was quite pleased. Light, crunchy coating and tasty whitefish, not at all heavy and greasy as you find with many establishments. The portions were larger than expected, too. My companion had the roast pork (Meath and Portra’il) and claimed it was outstanding. It was a pleasant surprise to find this restaurant/pub on an evening walk.
