Where is the Best Hamburger in Santa Cruz, California?
Best burger I’ve had in a while. This place is open pretty short hours (4pm on weekends I think) and has mostly outdoor seating, which can be a bummer on a chilly day, but the food more than makes up for it. My burger was fresh and juicy with just the right amount of fixings. My bf had the ranch chicken sandwich and it was very good as well. Juicy meat, plenty of flavor, crispy bacon… very good. Really excellent, crispy fries. The best I’ve had in Santa Cruz so far. Prices were reasonable, service was quick and efficient and they offer a 2 for 1 special during their last hour of business. Call me old fashion but when I’m in a restaurant I don’t want to be served by over-tattooed, over-pierced, alternative/goth not motivated waiters. They all seem to be mad at the whole world.Be prepared for some ‘anti-capitalistic’ comments on the menu, anti-war slogans and an explanation why they prefer not to serve major (soda) brands….The food is okay but certainly not worth the >9/10 rating found on this site. They have a lot of choice but I think there are better places in SC where you can find veggie food for a little more buck.Last note. This is more personal I think. I’m not into the whole metal/alternative/tattoo thing. So I never felt really comfortable with the whole atmosphere in Saturn cafe. Pros + veggie, parking, inexpensiveCons – , service
