Even though the food can be a tad on the greasy side, the patty melts are AWESOME! The double burgers are great, and even the teryaki bowl with chicken and beef is really good, also the fish & chips are good and huge! I have yet to have anything taste bad. They have great combo deals. The lady there is super nice. We eat there almost every week. They even have chocoalte dipped ice cream cones. Pros + reasonably cheap, good service, great foodCons – , on weekends.

The Paradise Cafe has been a Santa Barbara fixture for one reason. Good food, reasonably priced with a menu that shows the owners know what they are doing. Sunny Sunday, on the veranda at Paradise. While the wait staff and hostess are California Careless the back of the house rocks! The burger was flavorful, cooked to a proper medium (pink line center) with hot shoestring fries. And my companion’s bacon stuffed waffles disappeared with gusto. Our entres were under $10 each so compared to most Santa Barbara restaurants the Paradise says good value. Unfortunately the service was typical California Careless.; it’s hard to find good help I know. But a little training can go a long way when added to having servers who smile naturally. Don’t let that deter you from a good meal – there are lots and lots of worse places when it comes to service.Pros + Food, food, food with a nice off State Street outdoor patio and veranda.Cons – Service is careless and unattentive.
