Where is the Best Hamburger in Portland, Oregon?
After reading all the reviews for Stanich’s my husband and I decided to chance it and try out the famous burger. We were not disappointed! The burger was great, fries were too greasy. Atmosphere is a local bar. If you are looking for gourmet burgers or super professional waitstaff this is not the place. If you enjoy honest people and a local bar feel then head on down.Pros + BurgerCons – Fries
Chef Chris Thompson has done an incredible job of presenting excellent Italian Food that compares with the East Coast Italian Dining Experience. We were asked when making our reservation, if anyone in our party had a food allergy the chef should be aware of. A huge bonus before we even arrived. When arriving, we were greeted by a delightful hostess who seated us right away even though our dining companions were running a little late. Erin, (our charming, beautiful, intelligent, and personable waitress was marvelous) assured us not to worry and we had wine and some of the best calamari ever while waiting. When our friends arrived, they were seated immediately and had wine and salad, after which our orders were taken for entrees. Two lasagnas, one catch of the day, and one pasta specialty of the house with Italian sausage. All four, perfectly prepared, served eye appealingly, and delish beyond words.I was invited to come back to the kitchen to meet the chef after offering our co
I took my parents to Wildwood when they were visiting from out of town. I wanted to show them fresh Northwest cuisine, and we were not disappointed. My mom wanted herbal iced tea because their normal iced tea has caffeine in it, and he brought her hot herbal tea with lots of ice. My friend is allergic to gluten and he made sure the ice cream was served on the side of the brownie so she could enjoy that part of the dessert. My parents went back another night and my mom had the eggplant, which she absolutely loved. She asked if the chef would give her the recipe, and he said he would email it to her after making s
The $6 Burger is now MICROWAVED from a tasteless precooked patty. If that’s how I wanted my hamburger, I’d go to AM/PM and get 3 for the same price. Are they taking lesons from Burger King thinking people will pay restaurant prices for crappy microwaved food ? Change back to cook to order burgers Carl’s Jr.s. 8 bucks for a combo won’t cut it in this town. Pros + CleanCons – Microwaved burgers, english as a second language
Our hostess Lisa was a delight, the service was reasonably attentive, the food was good to excellent, but being forced to sit at a communal table with 8 or 10 other folks was less than satisfying. So, a fine restaurant, but definitely not appropriate for a quiet romantic dinner. We had gnocchi with frog legs and salsa verde (good), foie…
