Where is the Best Hamburger in Portland, Oregon?
I went to Jett Burger yesterday in Camas, WA. It is located a block from the McDonalds. If you are thinking burgers the two are not even in the same business. The name sake burger should not be taken lightly. The menu states that all burgers are hand patties of 1/3 pound ground beef. After eating the “Jett Burger” I read an old article and review. Although I did not confirm the reviews description of this burger, nothing in me would question it. So here is my description of the “Jett Burger” menu selection. 2 1/2 pound hand made beef patties 8(?) pieces of bacon, american and swiss cheese (i ordered cheddar) lettuce, tomatoes, pickles. When this burger arrive at my table I was starving no famished. I being a hearty eater never questioned the menu as to whether I could eat this burger or not Don’t even think this….The burger came with a steak knife stuck in the top of it and there was no steel showing through. unless you know someone. i was at slow bar with a friend and we were ignored and then curtly dealt with by the waitress….until the owner came to talk with us because he is friends with my friend. then she treated us like gold. it was unbelievable. since then, the service is always horrible. i guess i should only go there with my cool friend…but they have an amazing burger, so it is worth the needlessly rude servers.
Mothers is what I would describe as one of the perfect dining experiences in Portland, if you go on the weekends order the eggs benny I like to add avocado to mine, which has never been a problem. You want it you get it. If you go for lunch the chopped liver is to die for, ” if you like chop liver”, if not the best thing about Mothers is there is something for everyone, from burgers to salads to eggs and bacon. Order the burgers and Onion rings! This place is usually packed during lunch. Its a nice short drive into the country with a roadhouse feel. Rub elbows with bikers and Intel workers. Did I mention the amazing burgers? The prices and service are great! They serve RC if you happen to be the designated driver. Its a nice touch!
