Where is the Best Hamburger in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
The pork chops are huge, impressive, and way tasty. Being quite large, there is no possible way they could be cooked to order in the time afforded an average patron for dinner. Consequently they are cooked earlier and stored. This seems odd, but it is a common practice with large cuts of meat. Ok, so… I received *my* chop and it was barely warm which was unfortunate because I was quite excited. I sent it back to be reheated and it returned a bit browner but still not warm enough. I almost suggested it be brought up to a core temp of at least 150f but elected to finish it as is. If this chop was to temperature, it would have been the best one I have ever had. The apple and yam side was amazing however the rosemary garnish mildly reeked of mildew. It is the opinion of this writer that a bit more attention to the details would propel this restaurant’s stellar menu to new heights.
I went with some business associates on a Tuesday night. We didn’t have reservations but they weren’t busy and could easily accomodate us. Our server was very good. She managed to be there when we needed her but she was not intrusive. The food was good but not great. Starters were well received. The mushroom rissotto is enough to get me back. Two of us at the table ordered the rissotto and after the first bite neither said much until the plate was empty. Two others had theScallop Starter and raved which prompted me to order it as my entree. Things went a little wrong after that. My scallops could have been warmer but I didn’t send them back. One person at the table stated there was so much going on with his walleye dish that he wasn’t sure he ever tasted the walleye or could say for certain that it was walleye on the plate. I didn’t have dessert but did taste one of the specials, a passion fruit sorbet. It was so good, I’m thinking about going just for dessert. I do rec
When I first looked at the outside of this small liitle nook as I was looking for a space to park I was questioning how DDD could have fit there cameras and Guy’s big mouth in there. All 10 tables were full at 2 PM. Luckily the friendly patrons at the bar were accommodating enough to my brother-in-law allow us to sit next to each other taking the last two seats. The staff were very friendly. The fries were outstanding. I usually salt and need a dipping sauce. I ate half of them without ketchup. The highlight of course was the Juicy Lucy (Nookie) (Paul Molitor version).. I plan on returning with my older daughter and her fiance. I am gojing to challenge him to take the challenge with me. I want to let everyone know I got some nookie.Pros + Great Burgers, Great Fries, Great Selection of Beers., friendly staff.Cons – Not in my home town.
A freind told me about this place and I thought he was over selling the place a bit, I was wrong. King’s is a small looking place from outside, but there is plenty of room to sit down and enjoy a Great Burger. The hardest part is trying to decide just which burger you want, they must have 30 to choose from. They name them after pieces on the chess board and baseball terms, Miesville is home of the Mudhens and folks seem to really enjoy the ballpark out there. I set my sights on the Triple Play with a side of fries, could be the best burger I’ve had that didn’t come off a BBQ grill on the deck outside. The staff is friendly, the beer is cold, and the food is great. You have to check this place out the next time you get to the south metro area. Oh, and a burger fries and a tap beer for under 10 bucks, try to top that anywhere.Pros + Great Food , Nice folksCons – Small restrooms
