Where is the Best Hamburger in Buffalo, New York?
This place was great, we came up to Buffalo for the Wing Festival, so naturally we tried the wings. Although the hot sauce is Franks Red Hot, the wings were out of this world they were crispy and hot. We ended up returning to the Pearl Street Grill two more times during our visit. The brewery had some of the best beers! This was also the only place to get food and drinks on a Sunday night, Buffalo shuts down around 8 on Sundays! This place always has a different crowd whether it’s people watching football, an after-work crowd or tourists like us. I would definitely come here again. The staff was friendly and helpful. Pros + The staff, beer and wings!
maple rd buffalo, ny in shortred-shirted, black-bibbed attendants serve grilled burgers made from freshly ground beef, turkey, salmon, and even ostrich sandwiched by buns that are baked in-house daily. hungry patrons gussy up the meat at a condiment bar stocked with lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos and…
This retro-50’s diner is way better than you would expect from a chain restaurant located in a mall. Simple burger and fries menu stacks up against anyone, and completely outclasses most of its rivals, such as Applebees and Ruby Tuesdays. The waitress gives you a handful of nickels that allow you to play tunes on the old-fashioned table top jukeboxes. This is fun, but there is a strong chance that your songs won’t get played for several hours after you have already left. It doesn’t matter, though. The same 15 songs get repeated ad nauseum anyways.
I remember several outstanding NY style pizza places here in the 1960s – gone now. When I returned after living in New York and New Jersey I was stunned by just how bad the local pizza was. Thick, doughy, chewy like catsup on thick bread. But then I found Gino & Joes. One of only 2 real NY Style pizzerias in the city (the other is Zetti’s) if you like thin crust, great sauce, large slice pizza this is the place to go! Just wish they had more stores and were open on weekends and nights.Pros + Inexpensive, Great PizzaCons – Closed nights
Ive been going to Gabriel’s Gate now for several years. I love the food. In fact, I think they have the best wings in Buffalo. I used to make the Gate a weekly visit until recently. Although they still have some of the best dishes in Buffalo, and the prices are reasonable, the service has taken such a decline in the past six months that I would not embarrass myself by bringing a guest there again. The last time I went there my date and I had to wait so long to be asked for drinks (10 min) that we left before our waitress even came over. What makes it worse is that there were only three or four other customers in the establishment, and they were all having drinks. I have given the Gate more than its fair share of chances. I really wish I could say that my last experience was a one off, but its not. If you choose to go, expect great food and a fantastic selection of beer, but don’t expect to get it within any reasonable length of time.Pros + Food is amazing, the a
