Where is the Best Haircut in Salt Lake City, Utah?

It’s taken me years, but I think I’ve finally found my person in Utah, and her name is Lien! After reading some great reviews about Studio H2o, I took advantage of the Citysearch discount and scheduled an appointment. I was lucky enough to be able to go on a weekday so I only had to book a couple of days in advance, but I’m sure weekends require more time to book an appointment. I showed up early to my appointment and planned on hanging out in the nice waiting area with a nice bottle of water to wait. They also have coffee and soda’s. How fun is that? I also had fun browsing their extensive Bumble and Kerastase; Bumble product offerings. To my surprise, Lien came out right away to welcome me, even though I was 20 minutes early! She was friendly and sweet from the first moment I met her. I liked how she was really straightforward with me. I just mumbled some apologies about my overly long and super unhealthy hair, and she took control right away, saying that she was going to get ri

I want to send out kudos to Moore Hair Design for their great work. I have been going to MHD since they opened and have always been completely happy with the results. I love Megan, the owner. She has cut and colored my hair for years. She is a wonderful stylist and she is always bringing in new ideas for me and for the Salon to make it even a better experience to go there. The others stylists are also great, and she makes it a point to have very competent yet friendly stylists.*** Just a note to those who have read the posting from “ilikesnow” about the “$600 bad hair extensions” . If you click on her name, you will find that she has written the EXACT SAME REVIEW FOR 5 DIFFERENT REPUTABLE SALONS located Salt Lake City. I don’t know what her deal is, but I do know that she is a first class jerk for trying to trash the name of Moore Hair Design as well as some other great salons in the valley. I talked to Megan, and they don’t even do that type of extension any more, so trust me as w

Since moving to UT a couple of years ago, I haven’t been able to find a regular stylist that I really liked well enough to be “MY” stylist. Well, my search is over.I went in to see Sean yesterday to fix a *really* bad haircut that I got (at another salon) on Saturday. I really wasn’t sure whether my hair was salvageable or not, but since my husband is returning from a one year deployment today, I was desperate to try. I’d been to the Jagged Edge in downtown SLC and had a great experience, but it’s pretty far away from where I live. I knew that there was a Draper location (much closer to where I live in Daybreak) and figured that it was worth a try.(a) I was impressed that Sean didn’t bad mouth the stylist who had hacked away at my hair–that shows true professionalism and respect. (Even though she DID royally screw it up!)(b) The shampoo and scalp massage alone were worth the trip.(c) Sean was able to assess my hair and fix the cut so that not much more length had to be tak

After reading the excellent comments I decided to try it out! I went to Alex who was amazing. We sat talking for about 10 minutes about what we were going to do, what color I would like and what I did and did not like about my hair. She offered me water while I was waiting for her to mix the color up and spent the whole 3 hours focusing on me and my hair. I have been to a few hairdressers that fit as many clients into their schedule as possible and leave you with wet hair! Alex did just the opposite, she spent time making me look beautiful and even curled my hair after she had styled it! All I can say is WOW! They even have a “lather lounge” that is quiet and separate form the music-filled salon that felt like heaven when I had my hair washed and a warm towel put over my forehead. The only thing that was kind of different about this salon is everyone is helping everyone else in the salon. People in training would come over and help pass the foils over for the weave, a gentelma

Ever since Kitty started doing my hair extensions I have little or no maintenance and long, lush, thick hair. Amazing…..is what I have to say – the beauty of extensions without the hassle – finally!!!!In the past I have worn pretty much every other type of extensions – sew in, glue in weft, glue in strand/strand, clip in….you name it. Although they were beautiful, they were so much work and hassle. The bonds would typically show if my hair was in a ponytail, or they would be a tangled mess after 2 months, the list goes on. Now, I have Kitty do my extensions every 4-6 months and I do nothing different when styling or washing my hair. It is truly as if I don’t have extensions in at all. The bonds are so small that even whey they are grown out, they are virtually invisible. Another benefit is how the special glue bonds are really gentle on my hair, my hair is in better condition now than every before. After my other extensions were removed, my hair was thrashed and broken.
