From the minute you walk in the door, you are greeted by a smiling face! She actually took my coat and escorted me to the waiting area and offered to make my espresso. They have a 15 drink coffee bar! My stylist came out to greet me, everyone that walks by you smiles. You are instantly comfortable. I am always intimidated by salons and all the “beautiful people” in them. She listened to me, did more than what I asked for and actually gave me a lesson on how to do it. That was a first! Then she offered me a discount card for next time for other services I had never had done in there. When I asked if I could just use it that day, she asked her manager to make sure. The manager actually came over to me and insured me that not only could I use it, I would be so happy with the results. She also told me she was happy I was getting a discount! Heather is wonderful, I have been going to her for my cut and color for a few years now. I am always so pleased with the outcome and it is a joy to go to her. I am so happy that she has opened her own salon, Kyla, in Gloucester- the space is absolutely beautiful. When I moved into Boston last year, I didn’t even consider looking for another Salon because Heather is fabulous and extremely talented! I would follow her anywhere. Her cut and coloring skills are superb and now that she is offering nail and waxing services, I can get everything done in one place, which is so convenient. I cannot say enough good things about Heather and I recommend that everyone try Kyla!

After a horrible experience a few years ago with my hair, I was extremely reluctant to get my hair cut and took to trimming it myself. But a friend recommended Moodz, so I decided to check it out. As soon as I stepped inside, i realized that I was going to have a good experience. The atmosphere was fresh, sunny and modern, and the whole place had a sparkling clean vibe to it. I wasn’t positive on what cut I wanted for my hair, but my hairdresser was super nice. She helped me pick out a cut that suited my face shape. Then she shampooed and conditioned my hair into silkiness. During the whole cut, she asked me friendly questions and made me feel relaxed. At the end, she made my hair look spectacular. When i went back to work everybody was complimenting my hair, and saying how amazing it looked. I would recommend Moodz to everybody! I’ve been to Stylecuts a few times now, but it is my last visit that made me do a review. The salon has always been very clean, the staff very friendly and I have always been very happy with my hair cut. But 2 things really caught my attention last time. The first is now they have installed plasma tv’s at each station! It really made the experience of getting a haircut cool. I watched the news and caught up on the days events and forgot where I was. Before I knew it, I was done. I felt like I was getting an expensive experience at a fraction of the price. The second thing they did that I thought was great was I decided to change how short I wanted my hair on the sides. It is a little colder now and I wanted to go a little longer on the sides. So instead of just getting a different clipper attachement, they brought over a couple of mannequin heads that had different length hair on the sides so I could see exactly how long the hair would be.
